{17} This is how it ends huh?

I walked into the precinct for the last time in my life, I came so I can pack up all of my items. As I stepped out of the elevator it was quite and the lights were off.

"Hello?" I called out but there was no answer, is it a day off for everyone that I didn't know about?

"Surprise!" Everyone jumped up and yelled, I smiled big this is family. "We are all sad that you are leaving SVU and we are all sad to see one of our best detectives go but to honor you and to show that we all will miss you we threw you a surprise party."

"You guys didn't have to." I said as we all had a group hug, there wasn't drinking involved because we are all still on duty.

"I made this for you." Sonny said as he came up next to me, I smiled, as I took the gift, I took it out of the box and unwrapped the paper it was a memory book.

"Are you trying to get me to cry some more?" I asked chuckling. I opened the book and it had pictures of me from the first day to when Sonny and I became partners and did everything together. "Oh Sonny," I said as I put my hand over my mouth. "I love it so much. Thank you for being my best friend and best partner I love you."

"I love you to Katelyn. I know you'll do find wherever you go. I'll miss you."

"Thank you, I'll miss you too." I wrapped my arms around Sonny hugging him. The party continued for a few more hours and I couldn't be happier, we had one more group hug and a few photos.

I took my box in my hand, and said goodbye to every one, I took one more look around the precinct and walked out.

I the box in the car that Peter and I was going to drive down in. I went to my family's house were I knew everyone was going to be.

"We don't want to keep you long." My father said as I got out of the car. "But we all will miss you." We all had a group hug.

I couldn't cry because I had to be strong, I had to be the strong person I was, I said goodbye to everyone and lastly I pulled Joe aside.

"I'm going to miss you a lot, we haven't been separated for this long in our life time. You've always been there for me and now we will be over 900 miles away."

"You'll do fine, stop worrying about all the bad things to come. I wanna hear about everything new all the time okay? You'll do great down there."

"I'm going to miss you, I love you twin." I hugged Joe again.

"I'll miss you too, I love you twin always and forever." I smiled as I got into the car, everyone of my family members waved as I drove off away to Peters.

"Here to our New Life baby." Peter smile as I sat in the passenger seat and he drove. I smiled as I looked out of the window.

"To our new life." I said as we got out of New York, only 13 more hours to go until we arrive in Chicago and we settle on our new house and start our new life and career.

Here's to making new friends and being overall happy, and doing new stuff and seeing new stuff.
