Chapter 13

Alice

We went out of the castle, I was following Olivia out of the castle. She sashayed down the stairs, with me in tow.

We stopped in front of her room. She opened the door and went inside.

I was hesitant to go inside, this room wasn't exactly my most favourite place in the world.

She came out holding a leash in her hand. She held me by my collar and yanked me towards her.

She clipped the leash onto the collar and kicked me. I fell down onto the hard cold floor.

She gave me a smug smile and said " Did you seriously think you would get rid of me so easily? my mate will be so happy to see you. Now, a word about this to Daniel and I'll kill you, you get that?"

I nodded, tears brimming in my eyes.

" Crawl now pet! " she bellowed.

I regretted why I had agreed to come with her.

But something about her mate made me want to see him.

I started crawling beside her, hoping master was nearby.

As if she heard my thoughts, she said "Daniel did start to follow us to make sure you were alright, but luckily, the Lord called him to his room."

" I figured he would follow us, and my suspicions were proved correct when I heard a sentry man talk to him upstairs. " she continued.

I just looked down and continued crawling.

We waited for him in a huge BloodCafe. These were the Cafes for the vampires, they got a variety of Blood here, from the commonest to the rarest blood types.

She sat on a chair while I sat cross-legged on the floor. I was staring at the tiles, drawing swirls when I heard a familiar voice approach Olivia.
I looked up to see who it was.

It hit me with a jolt, I recognized him. Anger- An emotion which felt completely foreign to me- flared up inside me. I didn't know why.

He was Carlos!

But how was it possible that he was real? Carlos came in my dreams, he couldn't be real.

Instinctually I remembered him in the room when he jumped out of the window with Stephenie.

How Myra ran out of the room in panic and saw bodies littered on the floor. Blood stained the carpet. The Queen lay near the stairs.

Wait! The stairs!

I gasped, the stairs were the same as the one in the castle where I lived now.

I tried to replay the scenes in my head, the scenes in which Myra was in the corridors.

Yes, every single thing, from the walls to the architecture were the same. The colours of the walls were the same too, deep red.

I tried to remember the castle entrance. In my dreams, there had been a moat and a drawbridge, but now as I had seen it, there was no moat and drawbridge, but the castle looked the same.

Yes they were the same!

What I didn't realize was that I had been staring at Carlos until he caught me by my chin and yelled " Who the hell are you staring at?"

I didn't answer, he smirked and dug his fangs into my neck, making me scream in pain.

Thankfully, Olivia told him to stop it.
She was really nervous about master getting to know I had been hurt.

" As punishment I will whip her Carl baby, please stop! " She said panicking.

He rose up, cussed and said" Her blood tastes amazing!"

He glared at me and started talking to Olivia.

I just sat hugging my knees, ignoring the pain in my neck, also trying hard to not vomit whenever they kissed

But how the hell was he real?

I sat thinking, trying to place everything together.

The castle, I saw everything from Myra's eyes, also every dream I saw was crystal clear. Stephenie's face was clear since the dream in which she met Bella. I had a vague feeling that she looked familiar. All of the dreams looked like I had seen it with my own eyes.

Suddenly I remembered something. Though everything was a blur, I remembered something.

I remembered my life before 2 years ago, my life which I thought I had forgotten.

I remember I was someone's pet 3 years ago.

I remember being used for that someone's petty pleasures.

I remember that someone as Carlos.

A year later, he told me he was going to sell me to an auction because he was bored of me.

The next day I was put into a van with other pets who were to be sold that day.

I remember, about 1 day later I was pulled out, thrown into a cage in a dark, damp room.

2 hours later, I was pulled out by large gruff hands and was pushed in line with other pets.

I was being auctioned. My life was about to change.

At 5 lakhs, Olivia had the highest bid.
I was her pet now.

My eyes widened in realization as I processed all of this newly found information.

I think I know myself now.
