3 months later.........

The snow flitted down in a graceful pattern. It crunched beneath my boots. The ice cold breeze blew across the clearing, sending chills down my spine.

I stared at the beautiful faces of the vampires in front of me. Carlos looked smug, but I could see the hidden nervousness and anger.

Right, anger because I finished Olivia.

It was really easy, she was not as strong as I had thought. She was easy to pick away, as easy as tearing a sheet of paper into two.

It was Carlos I was worried about, he was really strong. He had gathered his army pretty quickly, making our army look small.

But we weren't anyone to back down. Each and every one of us had a bone to pick with Carlos.

Snarls and growls echoed occasionally from both sides. All of us stood with vervain laced weapons.

My mind drifted back to Daniel again, tears threatened to escape. My vision blurred due to the moisture in my eyes. I felt a reassuring hand on my shoulder.

" Don't cry. "  Bella whispered.

I nodded and wiped my eyes. My face was an embarrassing shade of scarlet now.

There was utter silence all around. It seemed as if the entire forest was watching. Many animals woke up halfway through their hibernation because they sensed the large number of vampires in their sleep. They were alert and awake now. We had disturbed the nature's cycle unintentionally.

My eyes were locked on Carlos. If looks could kill, he would be gone.

I lifted my hand, signalling for the battle to commence.
