Ever since Patton ran into Logan all those years ago, he felt drawn to the nerd. Whenever he was free, he would go to the library or on walks in hopes to seeing Logan again.
The day he finally asked for Logan's number came and he had a skip in his step for awhile after that. It was obvious to him that he was interested in the librarian, but he was always too nervous to tell Logan how he felt.
Then Logan's court day arrived and he hadn't heard anything. He went to the library almost everyday to look for the man, but lost all hope when he had to move to California to help his grandmother and to go to college. It was a long distance away and he couldn't just fly down to Florida everyday to see if he could find Logan, so he gave up.
However, whenever anyone showed interest in him in Cali, he always turned them down, telling them he was stuck on one person.
When he finished college and his grandmother passed away from sickness, he moved back to his home town in Florida. He went to the library to get a few books to entertain himself while the moving van was on its way. He hadn't expected to turn the corner and see Logan sitting right there, reading a sciencey looking book.
He fell all over again. Seeing Logan made his mouth run dry and his face to light up like christmas.
Now that he knew about what happened and about the situation with Virgil, he was determined to help the small family the best he could. He was also trying to muster of the courage to asked Logan out.
Logan on the other hand was slowly falling for Patton again. Patton was helping him find a good lawyer and making sure he ate and slept. When Patton was there, it felt right. The house felt more homey and calm like it had just years before.
Patton started coming over more and keeping Logan company which was greatly appreciated by Logan who would have over worked himself several times without him.
The two worked like clockwork, looking for lawyers, eating dinner with eachother a lot, and were often seen together. Logan was starting to soften up, but still had his posh grammer and big words.
Everything was going perfectly.
Until there was frantic knocks on the door.
