It was the next day and Xici decided to skip school. She of course told Jeongyeon before she could and she told a good reason why. Xici does this ever so often, she did this all the time with her old school as well. She went to go visit her father's grave. It was her father's death anniversary so she skipped school to visit his grave for respect and love. While she was going there she saw NCT all coming out of their gates laughing and playing around with each other. She always thought NCT were always serious and it made her happy when she realized NCT true side. She took really care of her many flowers she was holding in her arms.
She tried to pass them really quick till someone called out her name.
"Xici noona!" Yelled Chenle. She stopped in her tracks and she closed her eyes tightly and sighed before she slowly turned around to face the team with an unwanted smile. She didn't want to be asked about her father's death or even talking about it. It was too tragic to even talk about really. They waved and they all ran to her and gave her a hug. She had to remember that she was still a member that don't live with them.
"Hey why aren't you in your school clothes Xici?" Jeno asked with his tight eyebrow up looking at my attire.
"And why do you have flowers with you." She sighed. She was about to speak till someone came behind her and spoke.
"She is going to a formal attire, you are wasting her time and she might be late. Im Dawn Lin, nice to meet you NCT." She smiled. She made eye contact with Taeyong, they stared at each other for a while till both Taeyong and Dawn looked away coughing. Everyone just looked at them weirdly. Then the whole detective team came behind Dawn.
"There you are Xici-oh who are you?" Ningning acted like she didn't know them. Though she was actually looking for Xici.
"Hey aren't all of you a bit young? Why aren't you guys at school?" Yiyang ask. Why couldn't she reconize the others? Well Dawn is new, Hina changed her hairstyle and loss her bangs, Koeun's hair is right above her shoulders now, Herin also loss her bangs, and Lami still looks the same but puberty hit her and she glowed up when she didn't need to, and Jeongyeon didn't use to work with us actively back then. But really, puberty all hit them like bAm.
"I already finished my online classes." Herin said first to break the cold silence.
"I don't have school today, and she and I go to college." Koeun point to her and Jeongyeon.
"My private school has no school today." Dawn said quietly.
"And the rest of us...are skipping school yeah." Hina shrugged.
"Can they visit you guys and try to bond when you guys come home from school?" The girls nodded and agreed but NCT was a bit hesitant but soon later agreed.
"Okay, um we have to go now bye!" Xici waved bye to the team and they went their seperate ways. She hugged Luna pretty fast and they bid their goodbyes.
"Why are you guys here?" Xici ask the girls. Lami giggled. "To of course honour your father's death anniversary. We loved him too and we still do." Xici smiled and looked down. She kept her tears inside.
"Yah, thank you seriously." Xici thanked them. They all shrugged it off, "Not only is this for you but we genuinely want to do it, you don't need to say sorry." Dawn explained. The girls nodded as they entered the gates of the graveyard.
They walked all the way far back to soon reach this beautiful stone memorial of Xici's father. They kneeled down and prayed and soon after that they put down the flowers. The girls sended a little message to Xici's father till they left and went somewhere further along the gates of the graveyard to let Xici and her father have some alone time.
"Hi Dad, How are you? I hope you're doing fine up there. It's been hard not to actually have you by my side. I really miss you though it's been so many years I really can't get over the reality of having you gone. Though I was you were here with me, I am way more happier up there beyond the clouds and stars. In all conclusion, you have done your job of making others happy so you have become an angel once again. Im doing well living on my own. I hope you can forgive mom and cherish these flowers my friends and I have given to you. I hope you remember them too. Mom? I haven't visited her in a while but I know how kind you are dear father, you would still want me to visit her and of course just for you, I will. I feel nostalgic looking at your photos. I hope one day we can reunite and build our family again." She smiled and looked down. Till she rose her head up and spoke again.
"And also father, I think...Im falling in love again. I don't want to state the name just yet but he is mysterious you know father. Different yet alike. You know my team wouldn't like this. Last time it was a tragic ending for my partner and I. Maybe show me some signs? Anyways father., it was so nice talking to you again. Please wait for my arrival once more for I will soon to be here again. Fair well Dad." She smiled and carressed the gravestone till she stood up and met the girls.
"Wow you aren't crying?" Koeun said in suprise. Dawn went towards her and hugged her
"When you are ready to tell me, Im all ears." Xici hugged her back and nodded.
"Of course she isn't crying, she is turning an adult this year." Jeonyeon went towards Xici and squeezed her cheeks. Xici was smiling in pain.
Ning, Lami, Hina, and Herin stayed back to watch. They smiled at the scene. The three all turned to them and soon Herin spoke.
"Lets go to a cafe before we visit NCT's house."
