Chapter 12 : I'll Wait

A day after Hanamaru's confession, everything changed. Aqours treated them like babies, and teased them.

But for Hanamaru, this is the first step for her, to grow and be the woman that she aspired to be.

Hanamaru's POV

I've felt that everything changed after my confession, Zura.

Everyone's treating me like a lady, but there's one person who I wanted to see what's her view on me, Zura.

The girl I loved ever since.

Flashback

"Zuramaru, are you ready for the contract? The angels are now calling up in Heaven. You must act fast."  a small girl said. She has a short hair with a bun, white cloak, white feathers, and has a lot of Holy Stuffs. She is Yoshiko Tsushima.

"Ehhh?!?!?!? What do I do, Zura?" a small cinnamon roll said. She is Hanamaru Kunikida.

"YOU MUST ACT FAST!!!! GOD IS CALLING ME!!!!" Yoshiko shouted, holding Hanamaru's hand.

"We should eat, Zura." Hanamaru said. Her tummy was grumbling.

They went on a break and eat snacks.

"Mmmmmmmm!!!!! This cookie is delicious, Zura!!!! What are these?!?!?!?!?!" Hanamaru asked. She was in a bliss after taking a bite at the cookie.

"The ones that you've recently ate, those are Dark Chocolate Pistachio Sea Salt Cookies. The other's we have are, Cinnamon Roll Sugat Cookies, Kitsilano Cookies, Caramel Pecan Snickerdoodle Cookies, Nutella Lava Cookie Cups, DIY Geneva Cookies and S'more Pudding Cookies. Mom and Dad loves cookies. They always bring lots of them at home." Yoshiko said with pride.

"Wow, Zura. You're blessed." Hanamaru said in awe. She is speechless at the cookies. It was too many for the two of them to eat them all.

"Hehe, my dad is a connoisseur when it comes to cookies. He always have a great taste at those. And he always knew what cookies he needs to bring." Yoshiko stated.

"Where's your Daddy, Zura?" Hanamaru asked.

Even though they knew each other for years now, Hanamaru hasn't seen nor heard Yoshiko's Father.

But Yoshiko then came close to Hanamaru, cover her mouth with her hands, and just looked at her for 5 minutes, before giving a reply.

"I'll tell you once we've reached the point where you're trustworthy. I don't want to tell to everyone my secret, unless they are my dear friends." Yoshiko said, then kissed Hanamaru's forehead. "I promise you, once we grew up, I'll tell you. Until then, can you wait?" Yoshiko asked Hanamaru.

"I WILL!!!!!" Hanamaru replied, blushing, as she still giving thought on the kiss Yoshiko gave her. "I WILL WAIT, ZURA!!!!"

End of Flashback

As soon as Hanamaru remembered that to her mind, she realized something.

"What's her reply? I haven't gotten a reply after that confession. I must see her!!!" Hanamaru said and ran towards to Yoshiko's appartment.

After 30 minutes, she arrived at Yoshiko's appartment, where she saw Yoshiko lies at the couch.

"Yoshiko-chan. Can we talk?" Hanamaru asked, but Yoshiko was shocked she was here.

"ZURAMARU?!?!?!?! HOW?!?!?!?!?!" Yoshiko couldn't understand.

"You gave me a spare key, remember?" Hanamaru said, this clears up Yoshiko's mind.

The two became silent for 10 minutes, before Yoshiko broke the silence.

"So, what do you want?" Yoshiko asked.

"What's your reply to my confession?" Hanamaru responded. This put Yoshiko in a pinch.

"Ohhh, about that. I'm sorry, I can't give you a reply today. I'm still thinking about it. I know your confession is pure, so I don't want to give a half-assed reply. I wanted it to be natural and formal, something that came from my heart. I know it's a shame for me to keep you hanging until I gave my final answer, but for now, please wait, okay?" Yoshiko said, she shed some tears, knowing that Hanamaru was honest during the confession.

"I WILL!!!!!" Hanamaru said, and came closer to Yoshiko.

Their eyes met. Both were blushing hard, both could feel each other's breathing, they were inches away from a peck to the lips, but Hanamaru gave a smirk at Yoshiko. She knew Hanamaru's up to no good.

Hanamaru lean forward to Yoshiko, as Yoshiko's heart raced like a NASCAR car. She leaned forward until...

"I WILL WAIT FOR YOUR REPLY, ZURA!!!!!" Hanamaru said, and proceeded to leave, until Yoshiko held her hand.

"Zuramaru, I had to tell you something." Yoshiko said, she realized Hanamaru said was something she knew happened before.

It was at the time they were playing, when Yoshiko made a promise to Hanamaru.

"I think I can tell you this, about my father." Yoshiko said, as she clears her throat.

"Zura?" Hanamaru was confused, until she realized what Yoshiko meant.

Sorry if this took long. I was planning to make this last night, but I ended up watching The Quintessential Quintuplets, and read the Manga. I ended up finishing them in two days. And now I'm waiting for the new chapter to be released. Sorry for that. I will prepare myself the next time.
