Chapter 9 : The First Step

"Damn, I'm now beat!!!" Shuka sighed. She was tired.

"I can't blame you. We really went all out." Ai said.

"Ehhhh?!?!?!?!?! You guys won't gonna celebrate today?!?!?!?" Riko was confused.

The rest were too tired to say a word.

"WE ADVANCED TO THE NEXT ROUND!!!!!! WE SHOULD CELEBRATE!!!!!" Riko shouted.

After the confession of Yoshiko and Hanamaru, the vibe surrounding the group lightens. And it came right on time, before the 1st qualifiers started.

They were in perfect sync. The audience were in awe. It was a spectacular performance.

"Since we took the first step, we must continue and flourish!!!!" Riko said happily.

"I'm glad that you're happy, but were tired. We can't move an inch, especially after that performance." Yoshiko said. She was too tired to do some stuffs.

"Ehhhh?!?!?!?!?! I mean, let's just go to my place. I have already contacted your parents, so let's go!!!!" Riko was optimistic at the result.

"What a drag!!!!" everybody said in unison.

Everybody arrived at Riko's house. It was huge, and it's almost looked like a mansion.

"Sorry guys, but nobody's home, but me. But don't worry, I'm a great cook, an-" Riko was about to act cool, until she got smacked in the head.

"Sorry guys if this idiot dragged you here. I'll take care of you guys, don't worry." a girl said. "Ohhh shoot, where are my manners. Hi, I'm You Watanabe. I'm this idiot's girlfriend. Nice to meet you guys, and thank you for taking care of her." she then bows.

"Nice to meet you too, You-san!!!" everybody, except Yoshiko and Shuka, said in unison.

Riko then spoke up..

"YuYi, these are my groupmates. Ai Furihata, Hanamaru Kunikida, Shuka Saito, and Yoshiko Tsushima." Riko said. She wasn't sure if the rest knew that Yoshiko and Shuka knew You. So, he played safe.

"So, shall we eat dinner now?" You asked, as everybody entered Riko's home.

You prepared a lot of food, which Riko didn't realized. After 30 minutes, the dinner is ready, and everybody eats.

As this is the 1st time Ai and Hanamaru met You, they asked some questions.

"How is Riko-chan when you two hang out?" Ai asked.

"Hmmm..." You thought of a proper answer. "She's kinda shy when we hold hands, cocky when we went to arcades, but she always have that determination to make me happy, even though she failed so many times. For me, it doesn't matter if we spent little time together. All that matters is how you spend it. And Riko succeeds in that category." You gave a reply.

"Awwww!!! How sweet. Riko-chan sure is lucky to have you." Ai was amazed at You's answer.

"Do you hide your feelings for her when you two are still single, Zura?" Hanamaru asked. It caught everyone off-guard.

"Yes. I do hid my feelings before, as I always thought it will just bother our friendship." You replied. Even though Hanamaru's question was tricky, she managed to answer immediately.

"One other thing, Zura." Hanamaru followed up.

"Sure, go ahead." You replied. She's willing to answer any type of question Hanamaru threw at her.

"How can you show your love to the person you like?" Hanamaru asked. This silences everybody. They didn't expected for Hanamaru to asked these questions.

"Well, just do it your own way. Sometimes, trying hard to be someone who didn't fit your personality is not right. Just be honest to your feelings, and stay true to your beliefs. Once you've done that, you'll grow and mature into fine humans." You replied. She doesn't know if this will work, but there's no other option left.

Everyone was amazed. You was a Wife Material, and they became jealous of Riko. She have a wonderful girlfriend that is polite, talented and beautiful.

Riko said that everyone should go to sleep, as they'll have some fun tomorrow. And everyone settled on the living room.

As everybody's sleeping, Yoshiko went to the balcony, as she couldn't sleep early.

"Not yet tired?" someone asked, as this shocked Yoshiko.

"Is she's here already? Or just the writter is rushing it u-" Yoshiko cut her thoughts as she felt a smack. "WHAT WAS THAT FOR?!?!?!?!?" she followed up.

"STOP SPOILING!!!!! OR MAKING SOME FUSS!!!! AND NO 4TH WALL BREAK!!!" the writter said.

After that, Yoshiko looked at the voice's direction, and she saw was You.

"Yeah, some stuff is still on my mind." Yoshiko sighed.

"Did you take the first step?" You asked to her.

But Yoshiko didn't responded.

"Hmmm, I guess you're still troubled, huh?" You said, and looked into Yoshiko's eyes. "Take the first step."

"What first step?" Yoshiko asked. She was confused as to why she needs to take the first step.

"The first step means that you must do the initiative. Be the first to engage, always have a confident mind, and always be yourself. Don't be afraid to loss, be afraid that you didn't even try. Just fight on, and good things will come." You said and pats Yoshiko's head and leaves.

"She's right. I need to make the first step, so that I could be closer to...
