~Liam
When Louis said HMS Belfast was a bunch of ships on display he was wrong. Turns out HMS Belfast is one big metal ship salvaged from one of the world wars. To make matters worse we had to buy tickets and take a tour in order to even view the boat.
"Okay so we paid for overpriced admission and toured the boat. Did anyone notice a door to an underground hell hole?" Zayn asked once we had exited the boat.
Louis shook his head. "I don't get it. What are we missing? I mean I could've sworn I was right. This just has to be it."
I glanced around the port watching the various people buy their tickets and excitedly enter the boat.
Louis took a seat on a nearby bench, cupping his head in his hands. "We drove all this way for nothing." he muttered. Zayn took a seat next to him and sighed. "Maybe these people are smarter then we think they are."
At this point it seemed hopeless. We came to the one place where the prison had to be, and there was nothing. The boat was basically, just a boat. There literally was nothing unusual about it. What clue were we missing?
I looked around at all the people in such a good mood. It seemed almost dehumanizing that they were walking above something that could be considered genocide. It sickened me.
My mind at this point went off on a tangent of random thoughts and ideas due to our failure and my ultimate boredom. We weren't doing anything at the moment anyway.
That woman's outfit is on point. Those jeans and that top really fit her body shape. Oh Crap the wind's picking up. I feel bad for anyone out in the river they'll probably get tossed around due to the weather. Good thing this boat is anchored and tied to the dock. Otherwise they'd have to worry about a run away museum. Lol. Oh look, the of owner of that boat forgot to tie it up. Funny though, he's lucky the boats staying stationary, otherwise it'd be out in open water by no- I stopped, my brow creasing as I studied the the boat. "How is that possible?" I mumbled walking towards the vessel.
"Liam where are you going?" Louis called after me. I ignored him. The boat was on the far right end of the pier. It was in a place behind some large wooden crates that most people wouldn't notice, or not give any thought to even if they were observant enough to notice. The impossible part was that the boat was not tied to the dock at all. Yet, even with the roughening river water the boat stayed stationary. If this was a normal boat it would slowly be drifting away from the pier due to the motion of the water. This boat never budged. Maybe this wasn't a normal boat. I waved over Zayn and Louis explaining to them the impossibility of this situation. Louis nodded his eyes wide with excitement.
"Liam this could be it!"
I leaned forward running my hands over the boats side looking for anything unusual and abnormal. Finally, my fingers came into contact with a rivet that seemed to stick out more than the others. Slowly I pressed into it and it pushed farther into the boat making a clicking sound. The three of us jumped backwards as the entire side of the boat slid open revealing a metal capsule, or an elevator.
Louis poked his head inside and turned back to me and Zayn. "Shall we?" He asked ushering towards the door.
Zayn shook his head. "This is it, no turning back."
I quickly agreed and the three of us slowly stepped into the shaft. It was big enough to fit at least ten people. We hardly took up any space. I was surprised at this point no one had noticed the three boys stepping into the magical door in the side of a weather defying boat. But the people who had created this entrance were smart and had hidden the boat well. Not smart enough at least.
I turned my gaze to where the elevator buttons should've been but instead there were only two. An up and a down arrow. I guess we only had one option.
"Going down anyone?" Louis asked, his finger hovering just above the button. We exchanged worried glances as Louis hesitantly pressed the down button.
Instantly the elevator shot downwards with such force we nearly lost our balance. This was the point of no return.
It was then that I had a moment of horrific realization that we didn't have any shape or form of a plan. What were we thinking!? Zayn had been right. What did we think? We were just gonna waltz in there and rescue them? We had no means of protection or protecting ourselves, nor did we have any idea of where things were in this place or how the people are. I will admit now we are absolute idiots for not thinking this through. If I die today at least I can say I would've died trying.
The elevator came to a jerking halt. The doors slid open revealing the underground prison. But, here was the weird part. It was completely empty, apart from the prisoners in there cells, there wasn't a single solitary guard.
"Louis, I thought you said this place was crawling with guards!" I whispered.
"It is! at least it should be." He replied.
We stepped out of the elevator surveying our surroundings. There wasn't a single guard in sight. What was this?
"Well, now what?" Zayn exclaimed. "We're here, this place looks like shit, but now what?"
I shrugged. I had no form of a plan. None of us did. However, from of the darkness came a soft melodic voice. We froze in our tracks at the sound of it.
"What are a couple of teenagers doing in a place like this? more importantly, how'd you find this place?"
The figure in which the voice belonged to imerged from the darkness. He was tall and a hard stare was fixed upon his face. His, what color are those? sea green?, eyes were almost electrifying. Louis stepped forward.
"Um, hi! my name is Louis. We're here in account of our friends being kidnapped and basically the police won't help us and we don't know what to do so we decided to save them ourselves, which in hindsight is a really stupid plan, but please don't kill us!"
The figure didn't move. His face had turned from a hostile stare to almost shock and disbelief. "Why would I kill you? Wait, your friends are here? what friends?"
"Um, Harry and Niall?" Louis answered. "Does that ring a bell."
The guy grabbed at his hair in shock. "Oh my god! You're friends of Harry? as in the Harry Styles!?"
"Yes! Do you know him?" I asked.
"Know him? I work here, I've watched him grow up!"
"Shouldn't you be on duty then?" Zayn questioned.
"That's not important, what is important is the fact that I was coming down here to get my gun, Harry's execution is in about an hour. If you guys wanna help we've got to hurry!"
"WHAT!? you kidding me that's the whole reason we came down here!!" I shouted.
The guy nodded. "Then I've got to get you some equipment." He began to saunter off but paused and turned on his heels. "The name's Collin by the way."
