Callum woke up, Rayla already preparing breakfast. He got up and was relieved that he could control his body once more. He joined Rayla in the kitchen, excited to see what she made for them. Rayla looked at Callum, pleased to see he was doing much better. He took his portion of breakfast and sat down. Rayla joined him and they discussed what they should do. To no surprise they decided that self defense wasn't Callum's strong suit. They came down to two possibilities, swimming in the river or going for a hike. They both didn't care which one they went on as long as it was with the other.

They decided to go hiking, they quickly gathered everything they would need for a day hike and started off. They went on the trail for a little while, then both quickly noted they had already done plenty of hiking in the past two weeks. They went back, and since it was still early morning, just relaxed for a little bit.

"How are you doing after you bumped your head Callum?"

"Oh I am doing great, with someone like you to watch over me nothing could have gone wrong."

"What kind of spells you workin' on these days?"

"Well after I couldn't do the illusion spell I decided it would be more beneficial to get better at what I can do."

"So you are learning more sky spells?"

"Yeah, pretty much. How about you Rayla how have you been holding up?"

"Better then you, thats for sure. So yes I am doing great."

They stopped talking, lost for new things to bring up. The quiet brought something new to Rayla, it was a comforting peace, something that told her, life is good. Callum was just relieved to be able to do anything again, it was mind numbingly boring just laying down and letting the day go by.

It was now a little bit later in the day, just enough for the Suns rays to warm the land. They thought that maybe a picnic would be the best course of action. It was a perfect day to stroll in the meadows and the stream was still to cold. They packed up lunch and went outside, interested to see if they could find a good spot. They walked for a almost two hours then found a wonderful spot, a luscious patch of daisy and carnations. The trees surrounding the opening were vibrant evergreens and had wonderful red wood for trucks. They took out their green blanket and sat down. Opening the basket, there was fruits, sandwiches, and cookies.

Callum ate some of the fruit and enjoyed the company and the scenic area surrounding them. Rayla felt the same and watched as all the flowers and leaves blew in the direction of the wind.

"To believe after all we have been through, to be sitting here, without worry, and without all other earthly bounds... well at least it feels like that."

"I agree Callum, the peace is almost disturbing, it has been forever since we have almost died."

"Well that is a 'interesting' realization but I guess it does make life boring, to some extent."

"Do you ever think we will see Claudia and Soren again? I mean I get that they are your friends Callum but they did try to kill us. Very friendly if you ask me."

"You are being to hard on them Rayla, they were forced to."

"I still wouldn't trust them, not with anything."

They had finished the last of the cookies and It was starting to get late so they decided they should head back soon to ensure they were back by sundown. They packed up their stuff and made the trip back. They walked through the forest that surrounded their homely settlement and took in the fresh scent of crushed pine.

They made it back without any interruption and Callum took the liberty of making dinner for the two of them. He quickly got out all he could find and tried to make the best thing he could. When he finally finished Rayla was relieved the house didn't burn down and enjoyed the meal. They sat in silence, each contemplating their days and finished dinner. They retreated to their separate bedrooms and prepared to retire. They fell asleep, satisfied with what they had done that day... have fun.
