"Bring me some bolb-wine, ye rat!"
A drunken customer hit a laser-whip onto Violet's back, making her skin bleed. She winced, but quickly regained her composure, self-trained not to spill anything from her trays or she'd receive far worse punishment from her master later. She bowed to the angered guest and hasted towards the counter to bring him the alcohol he had requested.
Yordie's Inn, where Violet worked, was known for its supreme bolb-wine – the alcohol extracted from bolb plants native to Planet Irahor. This inn was even rumoured to attract customers not only from the Raden Universe where Planet Irahor was situated but from the distant universes as well. People paid large sums of money to travel through portals just to arrive in the Raden Universe and taste some of Yordie's bolb-wine. Hence Yordie, the proud owner of this inn, had quickly become a rich man, which only added up to his stuck-up attitude, yet wasn't able to cure his stinginess or satisfy his greed. He made his slaves work day and night, gave them small portions of food two times a day just to survive, and beat them whenever not in the mood (which happened rather often). Since she knew her master's character quite well after having served him for so many years, Violet dared not defy him. She quickly accessed the counter, filled some glasses and a bottle with bolb-wine and posed the requested drink before the customer:
"Enjoy, my lord."
The drunken man greedily tossed the sweet drink off, cursing under his breath.
"Excuse me, lass, you won't be coming here?"
Violet looked at a distant table in a corner. It wasn't occupied just a minute ago, yet now, there were already some weird people sitting. A messy-scarlet-haired fiery-eyed guy in golden armour was the one to call out – apparently a Dionoid warrior from Planet Dion, a species one step above humans.
These drunkards gather up so fast in this place....
"Greetings, my lords! Welcome to our inn. What would you desire?"
"We hear your bolb-wine is superb. Mind letting us have a taste?"
Here they go again with their wine...
"Sure! I'll bring some fine bolb-wine for you right away!"
"Oh, and... what was it you wanted, Boss?"
The redhead glanced at a tall man with a long dark purple lower ponytail sitting before him. Violet's eyes widened once spotted his richly rings and necklaces full of mysterious jewels and gemstones she had never seen before.
"Do you serve Divine Nectar?"
Violet beheld the man's mysterious golden eyes gazing right into her soul. She stumbled from dizziness for a moment, but quickly got a hold of herself and answered rather hesitantly:
"I... I'm not sure what that is, my lord. I am sorry."
"So here either, huh?" the man let out a heavy sigh. "Will you concoct a drink exclusively for me from the ingredients I tell you then, child?"
