Chapter 36: The Hawthorne Family on Planet Cyberia

"Mommy!"

"Marie!"

Ellie and Gunther tightly embraced the blond woman whom Sinbad had brought on Planet Cyberia. The whole Hawthorne family was shedding happy tears to be reunited after so many years.

"W... Where's Violet? They told me she was with you!"

"She went off with the Captain Emperor," Ellie grinned, "They're on a date!"

"On what?!"

"Yeah, I know it's a lot to take in, Marie, but... that's how it is. The younglings are in love".

It still took a long time before Marie would get accustomed to this shocking new fact. Meanwhile, they introduced Baxus to her, and Gunther informed it was her lost sister Julie's son with a Bakhal species.

"Julie's son? Goodness, so many years! Oh, Julie... This is so heartwarming to hear she's had a happy life out there!"

She tightly hugged the timid young man and squeezed him in embraces so hard that he felt tingling pain even though he was made of stone.

"Aww, you're so tiny and cute like my mom! I'm so happy to meet you, Auntie Marie!"

"Is... Is Julie alive? Please, Baxus..."

"No. She suffered from a permanent illness even back when my father kidnapped her from the pub where she was enslaved. My father tenderly cared for her for many years. She raised me after I was born, and then... she passed away. That was the day when I decided to abdicate from the chieftain heir position and join my old friend Arubah – the Galaxy Pirate Emperor – as his first-mate and a pirate".

"Oh, Julie!"

Marie covered her face with hands and wept for her forever-lost beloved sister. So many emotions – meeting her treasured family, finding out she had a nephew and learning of her sister's death – overwhelmed her quite a lot. Hence, she was soon led by Baxus into the Cyberia Palace to take some rest and process her feelings with a good amount of sleep and quiet. As for Sinbad, he rejoined Maluma, to be slapped by her quite violently:

"You moron, Hihi! How could you do that to poor little Violet? Gifting her to Aru? Where are your manners?"

"He asked me himself," Sinbad rubbed his painful cheek with a faint smile to see his beloved cousin so hot-headed as in good old days. "He wanted to get to know a special human girl. Once I noticed Violet was special, I decided it was the right choice for him_"

"You should know better than gifting humans to others! They're not some items, they're living beings!"

"Alright, alright... I'm sorry".

"You'd better be!"

Roderigo just chuckled at such outbursts of his wife and accessed Gunther's side, because, during these voyages across the galaxies, the two had grown to be quite good friends, more so that Gunther had always admired the legends of the revolutionary marine Roderigo Alvarez ever since his school-years.

After a while, when Baxus and Zehu more or less regulated affairs inside the whole base and introduced Dohta to every needful entity as the new second-mate of the Captain Emperor since Jedha had resigned to become the Daluman chief, Arubah's and Violet's stellar-boat too, arrived. Young Captain jumped off and helped the girl descend too. He accessed the side of his mates in order to discuss some further strategies and issues, while Violet ran up to her family members, trying to avoid Sinbad, whom she could well notice there on the shores.

"Where is mom? She ought to be here, no?"

"She was, but you were absent," Gunther replied, "She was too tired and Baxus took her to our new room in the palace to let her rest. You should've seen them getting to know each other... She was beyond happy".
