An enormous purple-sailed glowing ship of the Galaxy Navy fleet – the Planetary Chaos – had docked into a calm bay on Planet Raden of the Raden Universe – the base planet of the Radenoids where the headquarters of the Galaxy Navy was located. It was night, and several moons shone in the cloudy sky while the rain pattered upon the windows of the vessel.

In one of the rooms on the third floor, Ellie was calmly slumbering in a bed. The chamber was full of crystals, books, and manuscripts piled on the table and shelves. Several posters hung on walls. It seemed that the owner of this room didn't really fancy technology and rather preferred simple papers or crystal tools. Obviously, no one in the Galaxy Navy would have such odd preferences other than Doctor Dohta Vaagard – the current guardian of Ellie – whom the child had gotten pretty close to during their long journey since their first meeting. Now, Ellie perceived Dohta as the sole friend and protector, so she trusted him, and only him, on this ship and in this whole world of cruel aliens.

She groaned and raised her eyelids, her heart pounding – it seemed she had just seen a terrible nightmare. She sprang up and hastily cast a glance around, apparently searching for her kind caretaker, but, to her complete horror, could not find him in the dark chamber. She jumped off the bed, turned on the light switch, and looked around once more:

"Dohta?"

Unfortunately, the young man was truly absent. Tears came to frightened Ellie's eyes, but she quickly restrained them and ran up to the door to rush out and search for him when she halted, recalling his command:

"Remember – whatever happens, do not leave this room without my permission. Remain inside at all times until I tell you otherwise, especially if I'm not here".

He had told her that after the very first day she recovered and got back on her feet. It was not good to defy Dohta... Who knew how he'd punish her if he were disobeyed? She had yet seen only his kind side, but she could often hear from some marines that Dohta was actually quite a powerful man, and a pitiless one, at that. According to those rumours, Dohta's job on the ship was often to torture prisoners and find out information the Galaxy Navy required. After all, Dohta was the very man to have injured that horrible Divine Emperor, back then! He was definitely not an entity to joke with... Yet, the nightmare she could still remember sent shivers through her very bones. Not able to withstand such images recurring in her head, she chose to face Dohta's possible rage rather than be definitely tormented by nightmares, so she braced herself, pushed the door and ran outside.

Her heart was beating heavily for she was scared of getting spotted by some evil aliens, but she still called out to her friend from time to time:

"Doctor! Where are you?"

She remembered Dohta's order to call him 'Doctor' outside their room, so she kept obeying at least this request of his. Soon, thus running and shouting through corridors, she was indeed noticed by some naval soldiers who had been assigned guards for that night:
