"Hey, Captain! There's a Stellar Current flowing on!"
"What? It has already appeared?"
Arubah ran up to Baxus' side and looked over the edge of the ship – there was a very familiar purple current flowing through the infinite space, full of stellar particles. Such currents were very common in the Balal Universe and dangerous for big ships since they could easily break amidst such fast flow of different meteors and comets, some of which were quite large. Because of these Stellar Currents which reminded the Daluma (the discoverers of this universe) of the energy flows they used, they had named the whole universe after their primal incantation, 'Balal'. Very often, they were to be avoided, but the Balal inhabitants had one interesting custom – if ever a young couple were to disclose their feelings to each other, they'd perform a short trip across the Stellar Current, because once a person went inside this blurry purple flow, a whole new view would unfold to them, said to be dazzling and marvellous. Right there, inside these Stellar Currents, the couples were to confess their love. Maluma and Roderigo too, once they travelled in Balal with the Shark Tooth in their youth, had performed such a trip. It was the very place where Roderigo disclosed his love and received Maluma's heart in return.
"Hmm, it's quite a long one, too! Alright, boys, get the ship off this natural beauty!"
"Oh? We're just going to get away from it?" Roderigo chuckled, "Isn't there something else you want to do?"
"The ship will break if we get consumed by that current, I don't want to risk our precious relic of Planet Hermin! But you're right – there is indeed something I want to do... Bax, can you call your elder cousin here? And, Jen, tell the boys to prepare me a stellar-boat!"
"Aye aye, Captain!" Jen – a Cyan boy with pink complexion, antennae, and slime powers – ran down into the fifth, the final floor, in order to alert the boat-keepers of the captain's order.
"A Stellar-boat? My elder cousin? Captain, is there something you'd like to tell me perchance?"
"Just do what I asked, Bax!" Arubah shunned him off with a chuckle, his cheeks growing red, "Don't look at me like that! Yeah, what you suspect is true. Are you happy now?"
"Hoohoo, I knew it – it is Violet's lucky day!"
Baxus ran down onto the second floor, to Violet's room. He beheld the girl sitting on her bed, reclined to a pillow with Herminese manuals piled around her, and scribbling something in her little torn notebook.
"It's you, Bax... I'm sorry, but, I'm not in the mood. Today's the first day of my weekly depression that strikes every month, so I'd prefer to be left alone".
"Ah, that mood? Yeah, my mom too had that every Earthly month... But now I'm afraid I cannot grant your wish, Violet – Captain has ordered me to fetch you".
"Fetch me? Hmph... Tell him I don't want to".
"Huh? You'll be defying Captain's orders? I know you've grown friends with him but, Violet, that's risky beyond measures!"
"Then he can freely kill me if he wants... It's not like I mind".
"What's gotten into you?"
"I've already told you I'm in a bad mood. Leave me alone, please".
"Oh? Pity, because Captain apparently wanted to take you on a private date in a boat. Only you two, amidst the beautiful Stellar Current you've definitely never seen before and will behold no more if you miss this chance..." Baxus grinned in a mischievous manner and turned around to walk out of the room, "Truly such a pity, I'll tell him his 'gloomy señorita' has rejected him forever... I bet he'll be crying, but who cares, he's some monster now, isn't he?"
