Chapter Twelve: Cobalt

"Cobalt." Fantasia said, embracing him in a hug. He wore jeans, a black shirt and black boots. Nothing of what a young prince would wear, let alone a wolf on two feet who can talk.

"Princess its only been one day," He remarked," Did you miss me that much? And you brought guests with you."

"Vanessa the Golden Knight," The shorter brunette introduced. "And Tiny has found a worthy master." The husky said," You should be proud." The knight rubbed the back of her neck and chuckled nervously. "So," He began," To what do I owe this wonderful visit?"

"Well," Fantasia answered," I was hoping you two could bond over a small duel." The husky brought a hand to his chin and said," Well, I up for a challenge."

Vanessa and Cobalt stood a few steps from each other. The only thing they could use were their bare hands and covered feet. Fantasia would declare the winner by who ever hit the ground first. She sat on the tree swing above the ground with Tiny next to her. "Ready," Fantasia began," Set,"

Tiny roared, a signal for the spar to begin. Cobalt ran for the brunette who stood with her knees slightly bent and fist up, ready to block or swing.

Thud,

Thud,

Thud,

Thud.

At the last moment, Cobalt slid, dragging his boot's heel into the ground and pulling off a roundhouse kick...That he swung over her head on purpose. Vanessa almost didn't block the punch aimed at her head. She blocked his every punch and elbow he threw at her. Vanessa saw an opening, Shoulder.

She took a big step forward as he took two steps back. Landing a punch to his shoulder before taking a small, spin again. She kicked Cobalt in his stomach then collarbone before back flipping off his chest. Carefully hooking the toe of her boots onto his jaw, she threw him into the air. Vanessa landed on her feet but Cobalt landed on his back, in a soft patch of grass.

"Best two outta three!" He yelled, scrambling to his feet. He swung hard, calculated kicks at the brunette. She dodged, stepping behind him and sweeping his feet.

"Best four out of three."

He swung punches at her. Vanessa ducked behind him and landed a sharp knee to his side before sending a sharp elbow to his back.

"Four out of five!"

Fantasia laughed as Vanessa found herself in a headlock by the playful husky. "Say uncle!" He playfully growled. "I'd rather be deaf than beg for my freedom to you." She shot back. "Say it!"

"Never!"

She tripped him, they landed on their backs. Laying side by side but both breathing heavily. Cobalt chuckled but it soon turned into a laugh and she joined in. Still laughing, the knight got to her feet and helped him off the ground. "You fight pretty well," Cobalt said," Who taught you?"

"I have many teachers." She answered. "Who's your favorite?"

"This Chinese admiral name Shu Jigee."

"Impressive."

They walked over to Fantasia," Who won?" Cobalt asked. "Does it really matter who won?" She asked playfully. They joked, talked and laughed as they walked to the invention room of the brick and stone castle of Furton. Inside, Fantasia's eyes widened. Her invention of a subway train was almost done, the only part the builders were doing was putting on the ceiling and connecting the seats.

The train had a sleek sliver body with glass window and golden sharp lines of paint on it. 

Curved magnetic pads on the bottom of it were a bright blue.

"Midnight sent me the details yesterday and couldn't help myself." Cobalt began," I just had to get it built and I must say Fantasia...This idea might just work and change to world as we know it."

"Cobalt, you shouldn't have."

"Surprises, you aren't the only one with them."

"This is just a prototype with three cars. It only has an engine and passenger car and a two small apartments in one car. We plan on testing it out some time this weekend. The magnetism intensity is kinda tricky."

"All do within good time Blue." Fantasia reminded," Thanks."

"I should be thanking you, this is one of my favorites of yours."

"It is pretty impressive," Vanessa added.
