Windsday, Stasis Week, Sea Season, 1600
Our expedition departs on the morrow. My Master waited until today to instruct me on my task. I am to find a single Melmarrow, a Chaos fruit with which I am not familiar and bring it back to him. This I must do without the knowledge of the Storm Bulls, for they will seek to destroy anything tainted with Chaos. My Master told me that I would recognize the Melmarrow by its large, yellow and furry appearance. Most importantly the Melmarrow only grows in the most Chaotic areas and I would need to seek it out in an area at the northern end of the Hollow known as the Chaos Garden.
I am thus to lead Gorath and his warriors into Snakepipe Hollow along the north shore of The River. My single expedition to the Hollow with my Master was spent entirely to the south of The River, so he has provided me with a simple set of directions to find The Garden, and instructed me to produce a detailed map of our travels. Apparently, my Master has alluded to Gorath that the Chaos Garden may indeed be the source of all Chaos in the Hollow. Once I have the Melmarrow, we are not to linger long; the Storm Bulls should have satisfied their bloodlust by the time we reach the Garden, and if not, fresh untainted water will be unobtainable and return will be necessitated.
Finally, almost as if it were an afterthought, my Master instructed me not to eat any of the fruit found in the Chaos Garden. It is my first expedition without my Master, and I appreciate his concern, but I am no child and was disheartened to be treated as one.
