Waterday, Illusion Week, Storm Season, 1600

We have arrived safely at Slavewall. We bade Paulinus and his sons goodbye shortly after we passed through the main gate. We have taken up lodgings in the town's largest inn. The inn keeper has told me that a large caravan will be leaving in two days bound for Sartar. It is my intention to join this caravan and gain the relative protection that it will provide me. Tomorrow I will visit the Temple of Etyries and register my name as a prospective guard for the caravan. I did not earn so much silver from Fazzur that I can afford to forego employment when it is available. Tallbar's purse is as full as his skill with the short sword is lacking, so he has chosen to merely accompany the caravan without duties.
