Waterday, Disorder Week, Storm Season, 1600

Salmar Bat awoke me late in the morning. The Temple priests had completed their Reconstruction of the burglary of my Master's rooms and he was keen to share their findings with me. The Reconstruction spells showed the same two cowled figures entering my Master's rooms and searching them at length before gathering up my Master's writings and stealthily leaving his rooms.

Salmar Bat's frustration was clearly written on his face and in his voice. And it is obvious that he believes I know more than I am telling. More disturbingly I believe that he is less concerned with the death of my Master and more concerned that his assailants had the appearance of Lunar cultists and the implications this may have for his blessed Temple. As our discussion closed, he made it very clear that he blamed the whole situation upon my Master's 'unsavoury' scholastic interests, a brush that I too was branded with. As he left my room Salmar Bat turned and told me that the next time we spoke he would do so with both Mind-Read and True-Speak spells cast upon me.

Salmar Bat's threat is clear, and it presents far too great a danger to my life. Under the duress of these two powerful Rune magic spells I could too easily reveal my true nature. I must flee the Temple and find my Master's murderers on my own. Packing what few possessions I can hide under my cloak I shall leave the Temple this evening, none should suspect me for I will leave on my normally scheduled visit to Fazzur. I am hopeful that Fazzur can provide me with aid.
