We arrived today at the town of Goldedge and I bade goodbye to Vandross. Vandross proved to be an excellent companion. Daily have we sparred, and though not my equal, he has proven a worthy opponent. Our journey was slowed by a number of days because Vandross allowed a local merchant, who is also travelling to Slavewall, to accompany us. This merchant by the name of Paulinus Vorinox, possesses a small team of mules handled by his two sons, was very grateful for Vandross' protection upon the road for it allowed him to forego the cost of hiring guards at Heruvernalda. I have promised to accompany him on the road to Slavewall, for which he is most grateful having seen my work with the great sword. He is now looking to hire a few guards to accompany us to Slavewall.
