Cristina had parked her car and turned off the ignition. They got out and walked into the restaurant.
“You’ll love this place if you love pizza, Harry. The best pizza place there is. At least that’s in the vicinity of where I live.” she said with a laugh.
“Never had Chicago pizza,” he said.
“It’s really the best pizza you will ever have.” she said. “Hey Hope, why don’t you come up with us, don’t be behind us.” she turned back to Hope who was a few feet behind her. Hope walked up by them and stood by them as they waited for their table.
“So how long have you been playing guitar,” Harry asked.
“Just about 8 months I think. I really love it. It’s so fun. My sister’s been bugging me to teach her but when I start playing I seem to forget everything and I can play for hours on end.” she said with a smile.
He nodded. “That’s awesome. I need to learn to play guitar. I can play the kazoo but that’s as instrumental I can go.”
She laughed. “I have a kazoo! Let’s make a kazoo choir. Auditions will be held and only two people can make it.” she said, still laughing.
“That’s brilliant. As long as you and I will be the choir of two.” he said, laughing.
“And our first song can be your first single.” she said. “And I can play the kazoo at one of your concerts.”
“Yeah,” he laughed. “That’d be great. I’ve always wanted a kazoo playing at a concert.”
The waitress called them and led them to their table. “We already know what we want so we’ll have a large cheese deep dish pizza, and my sister and I will have water.” she said to the waitress as they sat down. “Harry what would you like to drink?” she asked him.
“I’ll have water as well.” he said to the waitress.
“I always drink water. It tastes good and it’s healthy.” she said.
“Me too. Sometimes I drink apple juice.” he said.
“Same!” she said, with a smile. “Water and apple juice all the way.” she laughed a little.
“We can get some dessert after we eat pizza if you want, but you might be full. It’s seriously the best pizza in town.” she said.
They talked and laughed while they waited for their pizza to come. Hope was quiet the whole time since she didn’t know what to talk about with them. She felt they were both in their own little world together and she didn’t want to intrude on them. She watched them as they talked, wondering if Cristina could tell how Harry looked at her. He looked at her like he was falling for her each time she laughed, each time she looked down to the floor, each time she pulled her bangs behind her ear, each time she talked. Cristina didn’t have a clue.
Cristina, never felt so happy in her life. To be able to talk to someone who seemed to like talking to her and made her laugh. She felt truly beautiful with him. She knew her time spent with him would only be for a little while longer. She didn’t want this to end. This day was probably her favorite day of her entire life and it soon became Harry’s favorite day too.
