Several weeks passed by. Things had gotten a lot better. The Kids Choice Awards were just around the corner and the boys were busy with their Twitters tweeting to tune in to watch them perform.
Cristina tries to call her mom once a week to tell her what she’s been up to and how she’s been doing. Harry later decided that he forbade Cristina from even using her phone. She understood why but she thought he was overreacting, but decided not to argue about it. Since Cristina had been with Harry she had lost 8 pounds. She would go out jogging whenever the boys had to practice or had a radio interview or a private concert since they were more intimate. She felt that if she was there people would question who she was and why she there and it would cause people to give her attention, instead of the boys.
Harry had given Cristina a flip phone just in case she needed a ride if she was out on her own. She heard her phone ring while she was on the elliptical at the gym.
“Hey babe,” she heard Harry say.
“Hola, mi amor,” she said breathless.
Harry smirked. “You working out,” he asked.
“Yup,” she said. She got off the elliptical grabbing her water bottle and taking a huge gulp. “But now I’m done.” She walked over to the weight machine and stood on it.
‘105,’ it read. “shit,” she muttered.
“What is it,” he asked.
“Oh, nothing. Just dropped something.” she lied.
“Ohm okay, well I’m on my way over to the gym. We got let out early. Want to get something to eat,” he asked.
“Yeah, sure, I’ll meet you in the front.” she said, walking towards the girls locker room.
“I’ll be there in 15 minutes.” he said.
“Cool cat.” she said with a smile and closed the phone.
She walked into the shower and rinsed herself off from the sweat and quickly lathered the shampoo into her hair and rinsed her body. She threw away the small bottles that were complimentary at the gym. she wrapped the towel around her body and walked to her locker. She put on her bra and a white tank top. She slipped on her white chiffon collar top over and buttoned it up, slipping on her bleached splattered shorts, and tucking the shirt in. She put a belt through the loops and buckled it. Cristina put on her socks and slipped on her beige oxford flats. She walked to the mirror and applied on mascara and brushed her pink lip balm onto her lips. She rubbed her lips together and then grabbed her dirty gym clothes and her purse and walked out to the front. Harry had just arrived.
“Hey, beautiful,” he said, wrapping his arm around her waist and pulling her in for a kiss.
“Hi,” she said, blushing.
“Never getting over that,” he said, smiling, looking at her.
“Good because it’s going to happen every time.” she said, smiling back at him.
He kissed her again, and left his arm around her waist. “So where do you want to eat,” he asked.
“I think I saw a Panera down the street. We can eat there if you want.” she said.
Harry nodded. “Sure.”
They walked to Panera and went through the door.
Everyone turned their heads as soon as they realized Harry had walked through the door.
The couple walked up to the cashier.
“Uhm,” Cristina started. “I’ll have a cup of the Lemon Chicken Orzo soup and a hot tea. And can I have an orange scone please,” she asked. “Want me to help you pick something to eat, Harry?” she asked looking up at Harry. Harry had his hand on her shoulder, looking at the menu intently. She had her hand on top of his, lacing their fingers.
“There’s so much food. I can’t chose.” he said, laughing, putting his hand to his mouth. “Uhm, I guess I’ll just have an Italian Combo and I’ll have some tea as well.” he said to the cashier. “Babe, should I get a sweet?” he asked, looking at Cristina.
“You should try the Strawberry Rhubarb cake. It looks delicious.” she said.
“I’ll have that then and I guess that’s it.” he said, handing the cashier the money.
The cashier handed them their cups and pastries, and attended to help the next customer. Harry and Cristina waited at the next counter for their food. As soon as their food was up, they grabbed their plates and walked to a secluded part of the restaurant.
A few minutes went by, as they ate their food quietly since they both were hungry.
“Hi, Harry.” a girl said behind him.
Harry turned around, looking to see the girl.
“Hi,” he said, chewing on his food. Cristina let out a snicker.
“Can I have a picture taken with you,” she asked, smiling.
“Sure,” he said, swallowing his food and stood up.
“Can you take the picture, please,” she asked, looking at Cristina.
“Sure,” she said with a smile. She grabbed the camera from the girl.
“Where do you want the picture taken,” Cristina asked.
“Here is fine,” she said. The girl wrapped her arm around Harry’s waist. Harry put his arm around her shoulder and they both smiled.
Cristina took the picture, handing the camera back to the girl.
“Thanks so much!” she said, hugging Harry.
“No sweat,” he said, smiling. The girl walked away and Harry was able to get back to eating his food.
Cristina finished her soup and then started on her scone.
“That girl liked you,” Cristina said.
Harry laughed. “Yeah, she did.”
“You gonna marry her,” she asked, smiling.
“I’ll give her a call right now.” he said.
Cristina laughed, taking a bite from her scone. “Want a bite,” she asked, offering her scone.
“Sure,” he said. Cristina leaned her hand forward slowly to Harry’s lips. He took a small bite.
“Delicious.” he said.
Cristina smiled. “I’m glad you like it. Wait till you try the cake.” she said.
“I’ll save it for later. After the concert. We’ll share it together.” he said.
Cristina leaned forward, across the table, as Harry did as well. He kissed her forehead and then pulled away.
“We better be going. I don’t want to be late for our call time.” he said.
Cristina nodded and grabbed the empty plates from the table and placed on the counter.
“Great food, guys. Keep it up.” Harry said, giving the employees a thumbs up as he was walking through the door.
Cristina laughed, and grabbed Harry’s hand, lacing them together. They walked back to the venue, singing Lucy In the Sky With Diamonds together.
