Three years past since that day... A beautiful Thursday morning.

I ride my bike to school, The thick hot wind blew in my kinky curly midnight black hair behind my back. I looked at the sky and smiled.

as if all the issues went away... But they didn't.

I closed my eyes gripping the handle bars tight with a fist. I got the gist of how little my vacation meant to me.

Spring sprung the flowers and the birds chirped. The sound of the lawnmower man was cutting the grass, and the water sprinkler went off.

I parked my bike at the bike station a few steps from the entrance of the school. Laughter and horns honking from the cars.

I went to my locker, putting my bike helmet inside and grabbing my books. People were coming in and out of classrooms, murmuring.

Bridget, a girl who walked with sass with a group of girls.

Mags giving her an up and down stare in disgust. She had dark brown hair, light brown skin along with devil hazel eyes. The "Most popular girl in school" and wealthy parents.

Bridget slams Mags' locker closed as Mags flinched.

"Get the hell out of my way!" She murmurs loud enough to fright Mags.

Carman, Bridget's best friend crossed her arms as a threat of Mags might defend herself.

"Why are you so rude, Bridget?" I said facing her.

Bridget and Carman laugh and pushed Mags on the floor. The hall grew with laughter and stares. Mags felt embarrassed. She knew that if she fights back, she would've been jumped by both girls.

"Don't get in my way, Magan. I will make you homeless and make your life horrible you piece of shit." Bridget says.

Carman spits her gum at Mags but misses.

The girls walked away and disappeared into the crowd. Mags sniffled as if she tried to hold her cry and anger.

—The bell rung interrupting the chaos. Mags got up as people walked past her without asking Mags was she okay. Mags ignores and walked to class.

Before she entered, a hand reached her wrist. Mags turned around. "Kevin?" I looked in his eyes and sensed danger. My heart boiled in my chest.

"I have to talk to you." He says. "It's important."

I shouldn't go but, I went with him anyways.

Kevin and I went to the gym, where no one can find us.

I dropped my books on the bleachers and sat next to them. Kevin joined. I looked at Kevin as if he was thinking about how he was gonna talk to me. Whatever it is, I think it's kinda important... I thought.

"I—I'm  really sorry about what happened between us." He stutters with a lisp.

Those words stroke lightning in my chest. I looked down at my shoes. He looks at me.

"I mean, I didn't have self-control. I have no excuses to say to you." He put both hands together and looked down for a moment.

It was an awkward silence.

"Please. Say something." He says desperately to look in Mags eyes.

"I- uh. I don't know what to say." I stared down at my two feet and looked at Kevin again. Kevin nodded.

"Can we be friends again?" He asked. My heart raced ran to China!!

I looked in Kevin's eyes. He was serious. I know I have to be personally honest to him.

"Kevin. I can't." He stood up and looks at the court then sighs.

"I understand." He says facing away from Mags to hide his expression. "Well. Um, I have to get back to biology now." I said leaving the gym with my things.

Was Kevin was really sucking up to me? Or was he trying to one onto me? I thought.

The dismissal bell rung, Mags went to her locker to get her helmet and bag.

She closed her locker and saw Kevin glaring at Mags at a distance in the crowd.

Mags walked out the school and took her bike and rode off on the path.

"Seeing the cars on the road and the student walking to whatever they gotta go. Peacefully and with joy and wonder. Children on swings, and boy on the court playing ball"-- Magan J. Smith.

Mags snapped out her daydream and saw her older sister Leyal on a porch of a house.

I stopped and started to see what's she's up to. Leyal and I aren't far apart on age.

She's only eighteen and I am sixteen. Kevin's only three years older than me. Yeah, I know. I'm just a minor.

I ducked down on the old rusty brown wooden fence of the house to spy on Leyal.

Kevin came out of the house as if he was visiting. My eyes widened and tried not to make a sound to be noticed.

He kissed Leyal's lips as she puts her arms around his neck and his arms on her waist. I gasped and hurried to get away from the scene. paddled to my house and into my room.

I backed away from the door to catch my breath. I can't believe she took that scumbag back. I thought.

When I got home I dropped my bike in the garage and went into the house. I went to my room and looked out the window. Cars continued to drive past.

"I can't believe that Kevin is doing this. I actually thought he changed." I said to myself.

I sat on my bed to start homework but, a knock appeared at the front door.

I  went to open it and it's Kevin.....
