I sat on the edge of the tube of the slide in the children's playground.

I made sure no one was following me. I didn't want to be followed. What should I do? Tyler is crazy.

My mind roamed as the rain drips then pours.

I walked home, hoping they're gone.

I opened the door secretly and secretly crept to the kitchen. I hear moaning. I looked around and peeked into the living room and for dad. What is he doing? I thought. I couldn't see what he was doing. I walked closer to the entrance and there...

Dad bought a woman to the house. The woman was sitting on him, facing my dad with his pants down sitting on the sofa.

I watch. I couldn't bear to look away. I froze.

"Dad?" The words wounded my lips with blood quietly and softly.

They stopped, The woman got off of him and he pulled his pants up. "Magan!" He yelled. "You're home early." I couldn't move. He stood up, and the woman ran to the bathroom. "What the fuck dad!" I said running upstairs slamming my door. The tears forced its way out my eyes without hesitation.

How can I look at my own father that way? Can I trust anyone?

I emptied my book bag and tucked clothes inside. I went out of my room and walked down the stairs to my so-called lying father. "How could you Dad, does this family mean anything? Maybe not to you. You're cheating on my mother. Your wife of twenty years. Fuck you dad!" I ran out into the rain. Dad calls me in the distance.

I sat in a diner. Who to talk to now? Thought to myself. Where should I go? Where's mom? Where's Leyal? I have a headache. I put my bag on the seat and put my head down on the table. My stomach growled I have no money.

I have no choice. I thought.

I slowly dialed the numbers on my phone as it rung.

"Yo."

"Tyler?" I said trying not to cry but it failed.

"Mags? Where are you?" He sounds worried.

"Can you come to pick me up." I cried silently.

"I'm coming." He says.

I sat in the passenger side of Tyler's truck. How should I feel right now?

Tyler looked over at me. "Where's Leyal?" I asked still looking at the road. "With Kevin." He replied.

His voice was calm. "Where do you wanna go?" He added after the moments past. "Anywhere but home or near Leyal and Kevin," I said looking at Tyler's face as he looks at the road.

"Let's go to your place. I can eat something." She said. Tyler didn't question Mags.

Tyler pulled in a shaky house he called his own. It wasn't small.

I got out the truck and Tyler followed stopping the engine.

I looked around and heard dogs barking. "My pops just left, he wouldn't mind if I have company." He says.

An hour later, I looked at the framed pictures hanging up on the walls in the living room.

"Is this you?" I pointed to the photo on the shelf of a little boy maybe seven years old. Tyler came behind me and glared at the picture. "Yeah, I was in second grade. My mother wouldn't stop taking pictures." He said chuckling.

It was silenced. The room was silenced. Tyler looked disappointed. "What?" I said. "I'm sorry for what i did back there. I was drunk." He said. I looked in Tyler's eyes then looked down.

"Are you into older guys?" Tyler asked.

I looked at him again. Why did he ask that question?

"Why you asked?" I replied.

"Kevin didn't tell you, huh." He nodded.

"I'm nineteen." He added.

The awkwardness was real...

"Tyler we're only friends," I said.

"I know you only see me as a friend," Tyler said. He walked away.

I kinda feel bad. What to say? How to react?

A knock appeared on the door.

Tyler went for it. A middle-aged man approached the house. "Hey, dad," Tyler said.

The man who is called dad did not respond. "Where you off to boy?" he spoke looking straight at me. I felt uncomfortable.

"Just about to head out," Tyler replied.

"Who the girl?" Dad asked.

I stood up. "That's one of my friend's little sister, Mags," Tyler said. I walked to Tyler. "Later dad." He said as he puts his hand on my lower back. I blush in silenced.

We went into the truck. "I wanna take you somewhere," he says. "Okay," I replied.

We drove off.

We drove through the wood and peeks of lights flashed. "Where are we going?" I asked looking at him. "You'll see." He smiled.

The water glistened beside the dirt road.

He parked at the cliff and there it was. "It's beautiful!" I said.

Colorful light took over the sky. Fireworks.

I looked at Tyler and he got out of the truck. "C'mon," he said taking a blanket out and placed it in the back of his truck. I joined him.

Watching the lights that light up the sky.

I suddenly lean over and placed my head on Tyler's shoulder.

He lifts his arm so I can lay on his chest.

I look at him and smiled. What am I doing? I was losing my mind. He looked back and I got close.

I placed my hand to wipe his chest. I felt his biceps through his sweater. He watched. I looked at his lips. I'm getting caught up in the moment. His lips touched mine. His warmth on me. His tongue touched mine.

He gets on top of me. I opened my legs and everything went fell into place. His hands touched my hips up to my boobs under my shirt as he kisses my neck slowly. I gasped and stopped. "Wait." The rage of my nerves rise. My weak spots. "What's wrong?" He whispers. "I'm sorry I can't do this," I said. Tyler thought about what he was gonna do and released me.

"Okay." He says sitting up. He didn't look at me.

Tyler went back in her truck. "Fuck!" I murmured. I went inside the truck. Not a word. I looked at Tyler. He didn't look at me, just down. He sighed and started the car up. "Whatever." He murmured and took off...
