Dear future,
Love will always surround you.
You will find your own love, I guarantee it.
But you will also find toxic love.
Love that feels so right but in reality, it's so wrong.
Toxic love doesn't only come in abuse and forced sex.
It comes in as you both love each other, but then you break up because the person isn't ready.
So you'll be heartbroken, I guarantee it.
And it's only because you wanted that person so badly.
But for some reason, you continue to love them.
You continue to try and show them how much you love them.
Then you'll be confused if you love them or not.
Trust me, you still love them.
Because once you find out that they love another, you'll be devastated.
You thought that there was still a chance that they still loved you.
Oh, how wrong we are.
They moved on, so why can't we.
It's because you hold onto them, you still believe in your mind and your heart that they still have some kind of love towards you.
Stop thinking that!
You are so wrong!
Don't believe for one second that there is still a chance that they still love you!
Now I can't say that there will be someone that you will break up with and that they still love you...
That is something I can't guarantee...
This world is MESSED UP, filled with people that will hurt you, but be strong when they hurt you.
Be prepared for all of the lovers that will hurt you.
Be prepared for the next heartbreak.
Be prepared to not feel strong.
Be prepared by surrounding yourself with your friends, family, and anyone that you know that loves you.
You will need their love and support.
So don't hide away your feelings like I did.
Don't hide how you feel to your parents.
Your parents are there to help you and support you.
And most importantly, your parents are there to bring you joy back into your life.
Stop hiding in your room.
Stop hiding from your friends at school.
Stop hiding from the outside world because the world is beautiful, you just have to open your eyes a little wider to the beauty of the flowers and the trees and the wildlife all around you.
People will hurt you, whether it be on purpose or an accident people will hurt you.
I guarantee it.
WHOA!! MORE FEELINGS!! Yeah. "A Message From the Past" and "A Message For the Future" are the two poems that I put a lot of my feelings into. Going from upset to encouragement. This follows the same idea that The past is mature, the present is a child, and the future is a baby.
