Chapter 12: Avoiding

"Daniel! Get up!" I heard Tiffany yell as my eyes fluttered open. I slowly got up to change into my uniform. As I moved towards the edge of my bed I felt a dull pain in my ass. It wasn't as bad as it was before. I kept moving and changed into my full uniform. Suddenly I have no idea what came over me because I suddenly grabbed my rainbow ,LGBT sweater and wrapped it around my waist, rainbow side facing up. I started walking downstairs and noticed Billie walking out of Tiffany's room with her backpack in her hand. I walked over to the stove and found a small note on the counter. Next to some fresh smelling, and dripping chocolate pancakes. It read,

"Dear Danny and Tiff,
I needed to go to work early to earn a bit of money. It's okay though, I also left some chocolate chip pancakes on the counter. See you later babies!

Mama"

I picked up a slice of the gooey breakfast and placed it on a plate. I soon headed for the kitchen table and sat down steadily, trying to make sure I wouldn't land quickly and hurt my butt even more. I picked up a nearby fork and dug into my breakfast. I popped a chunk into my mouth and the chocolate immediately melted in my mouth as I chewed. I smiled slightly as I finished my breakfast. I slowly got up and placed my dirty dish in the sink. "Tiffany hurry up! You too Billie!" As soon as I called it Tiffany and Billie turned the corner in the blink of eye. I watched as Billie and Tiffany rushed out the door. I slowly walked out after them and gently closed the door. We walked to school silently for 7 minutes straight before Billie broke the silence by saying. "Hey Daniel, I didn't know you owned a sweater like that. Is Levi the reason you own that sweater?" She asked, a tint of blush appeared on my cheeks as nothing else happened the rest of the way. Tiffany, Billie and I soon went passed the school doors and walked to our lockers. Billie, Tiffany and I said our goodbyes and went our separate ways as the crowd in the hallway grew. Once I got to my locker I saw Cody and his gang alining the locker side walls. Watching as I started to put in my combination before approaching quietly behind me and saying, "What's up fag? You miss us?" I whirled around to see Cody looking at me, his goons right next to him. I started looking around to see if any buddy will help me, I suddenly saw Levi walking behind them not even acknowledging that I was there. So, I gave them my lunch money and tried to catch up with Levi, worried that something might be wrong. "Levi, is something wrong? You didn't even realize I was there." That's when I knew something was wrong, he didn't even turn around. He just kept walking. A sudden rush of sadness filled me as my eyes began to water. I just kept walking to class.

After school

I walked to my locker, barely having the strength to open the lock. Once I did though all the supplies that were stuffed inside came crashing out. I Lear's the sound of laughter explode from the crowd behind me, an I could feel hot tears fill my eyes, and just like that, I started crying right there. "Daniel? Are you okay?" I heard a gentle voice say. I turned around to see Billie and Tiffany hand in hand looking at me. I just pushed them aside and dashed towards the boys bathroom. As soon as I got in I started exploding in tears. About 10 minutes later I heard the door open, I whirled around to see Levi quietly turn around and grab the door handle. "NO!" I shouted, he quickly turned around, "what do you mean 'no?'" I stood up, "YOU ARE NOT WALKING AWAY. NOT AGAIN!" I said as I pushed Levi forward and stood in front of the door. "What is your problem?!" He shouted, "My problem is that you keep walking away from me and don't tell me why!" "It's nothing! It doesn't matter!" "Yes it does! You haven't talked to me all day! And when Cody made fun of my LGBT sweater you just walked away like nothing was happening!" "I said it's nothing!" "Tell me!" "WHAT ARE WE?!" I froze, 'what are we,' what did that even mean?! "What are we? Are we boyfriends or, are we just friends?" I walked closer to Levi. As soon as I did I wrapped my arms around his waist. "I would hate it if you were anyone else's but mine." He soon started hugging back, "It's settled then. We're officially together." We stayed hugging for about five minutes before we let go and walked hand in hand out of the bathroom. Billie and Tiffany must have been standing outside listening in because as soon as we came out they started cheering like crazy. "MY BROTHER'S GOT A BOYFRIEND!" "All that's left is you ending up with Billie, Tiffany." She stopped cheering and looked at me while blushing. "That's not possible." "Why not?" Asked Levi. Billie wrapped her arm around Tiffany. "Because we're already together." Billie replied.
