Tiffany's POV
I was sitting on the couch looking down at my phone when I heard Daniel's door slam. I looked towards the stairs to see Daniel with tears welling up his eyes, and Levi have a infuriated expression on his face. I automatically knew something was wrong.Third person POV
Levi started grabbing items ballistically, trying to look for items that he believed that Billie would need. All while Daniel was telling Tiffany the story through chocked out sobs. As soon as Levi was done they went sprinting toward Angelic Point. It was fifteen minutes before they got to the hospital, all of them out of breath once they got there. Daniel kept comforting a balling Tiffany while Levi ran towards the front desk, panicking and questioning where Billie was. The ladies at the front desk quickly told him where Billie was, as soon as those words left the woman's mouth, Levi was sprinting towards the siblings telling them where Billie was.Five minutes later
Tiffany's POV
How is life so short? Where, if you let the things you love...spend one moment apart from you...they can slip between your fingers. One moment, their with you, happy...the next, their in a hospital bed covered with black and blue spots, and one of their darling eyes missing. The one she covered with her straight hair, was now gone. The socket will remain empty forever. Every time she looks in the mirror, all she will see is her missing eye. The one she lost to her father. Seeing her open her one remaining eye was probably the most heart lifting thing ever, like a giant mass was lifted off my shoulders. The mass was only gone for half a second though, as Billie started panicking about her missing eye.Billie's POV
I tried to open both of my eyes just to find that one was working perfectly. While the left wasn't opening, all that seemed associated with my left eye was darkness, emptiness, and memories coming back to me about my accident. My heart started racing as I started to feel the pain of my phantom eye, "Billie! Love, please calm down!" Tiffany pleaded as I grabbed at my empty socket. I'm guessing Daniel and Levi went to get a doctor since sends later Daniel and Levi came back with my doctor.Daniel's POV
Levi and I came back with the doctor as we saw Billie start clenching her left eye socket. Levi and I stared in horror as another doctor pulled me back and started talking, "Your friends with Billie Colt correct?" "Yes," Levi and I responded, "Well this is her status so far. She has lost her left eye due to the attack, she has also been left with nine bruises due to her father. Five on her chest, two on her left leg, one on her right, and one on her right arm. She most likely fought back, or tried to hold his arms down. This is all the information that I can give you at the time." The young doctor started walking away, leaving me drowning in my own thoughts. Some of my thoughts even scared me just thinking about them, some of them included, 'Did Billie remember the attack?' Others were, 'Where is her father now?' But the one that scared me the most, was the one I was currently thinking, 'Did he attack her...because of her haircut. Because of her being Bi. Because of her being trans.' That question, was the one that stuck with me.Levi's POV
I still can't believe what happened. But at the same time, I can relate to what Billie might be feeling. Being weak, being unable to protect the one she loves. I suddenly broke out of my own mind when I heard Billie's voice, "D-dad! Please, d-don't hurt me a-anymore!" Billie started moving her arms up and down in front of her. Her right eye glued shut, "Billie! Billie, it's Levi, it's okay." I started calming her as she breathed heavily into my shoulder, "Can you tell us what happened?" I asked.Billie's POV
I just opened the panel door leading into my house as I saw my dad sitting on the leather sofa facing the tv. I proceeded to pull up my black hoodie to try to hide my new haircut. It didn't work. He turned to face me when he heard the floor board under me creek. He started questioning me as I tried to get to my room. But as soon as I turned to leave, he pulled on my hoodie, making the hood come off. There was so much anger in his voice, as he pulled me back and started getting on top of me. He started punching me as I frantically tried to keep his hands away, "D-dad! What are you doing?! Don't hurt me!" I screamed as he kept repeating the exact same sentence, "I raised a straight daughter! NOT A MALE FAGGOT!" That sentence, still repeats in my mind. It repeats, because he said that. While he was removing my eye, "Maybe doing this will teach you a lesson." He said as he grabbed his pocket knife, and brought it close to my eye, "N-no dad please! It's me dad! It's your daughter! Your only daugh-AHHHHH!" I screamed as he took out my sea foam green eye. I'm guessing that's why the cops were called. Someone must have heard me scream.Tiffany's POV
After hearing that story, I couldn't the tears from flowing. They just kept gushing out, so I put my head into the crook of Billie's neck and cried. I felt useless as she held onto me. She was doing what I was supposed to be doing for her. I'm worthless, I'm nothing.
