Hospitalized

You lied in the bed.... It was so lonesome here, you knew soul was at home restless too... Your surgery was tomorrow... So it didn't matter for you, but for soul and your dad.... It mattered a lot.

"The school students will be there, only the ones who were there when we discovered it but they'll be there." You remember Maria saying. "Lord death would be there himself, but he's attached himself to the school for too long it's still hard to leave it. He'll watch through his mirror, your father and myself will also be there."

"......thank you Maria... Can I be left alone now?"

"Yes."

It hurt knowing you'd soon be cut into and stitched up on the inside.... Imagining waking up in the middle of such a big surgery...... Was petrifying... And intriguing.

"Patient 357 is up." You heard them say through the door. A lady opened the door.

"Your up!" She said. You tossed your legs over the edge of the bed and walked over to her. You walked solemnly through the hall, you heard the others enter through the door behind you. But you kept walking forward.... You were placed on a surgery table. "Are you allergic to any medications??" She asked. You looked up to your dad who shook his head.

"No." You answered.

"Good, are you aware of what's in this pipe we're plugging into your arm?" She asked.

"It's a sleeping medicine, it'll put me asleep for the surgery if all goes well." You said.

"Hmm, you're the first kid I know d your age who knows that."

"I'm a Meister at the DWMA and my dad is a doctor, I know a lot about medicine." You shrugged.

"That's interesting, I'm sure we can talk about it after your surgery, you will be here for another month after your surgery!" She smiled.

"Right...." You mumbled. You laid your head down and let yourself sleep.

"Interesting nurse you've got there, you don't trust her fully."

"Shut up snake." You growled.

"Oh but I don't want to, won't you be bored sleeping here with no one to talk to you for hours." She asked.

"it's just like sleeping through the! night! I can sleep through the night without talking to you!!! Not that I get to."

"Aww, don't you like my visits? I only tell you the truth." She whined.

"You're a snake, all you do is lie!!" You growled. "Just leave me alone!! I'm already worried enough!!!" You shouted.

"......." She went quiet for a second.

"Thank you..." You sighed.

"So, how's you da-" you flipped around holding her up by the throat. "Yeah, keep doing that, you'll just be completely mad when you wake up!!" You threw her at a wall.... You didn't know why there was a wall but there was. She coughed up blood and recovered quickly. "You think you can beat me? Sure we're in your mind but your alone little girl."

"You can't kill me here." You shrugged. "So just try it." You smirked at the thought of snapping this snake's head off.

She took a step back. "Y-you're really gone." She mumbled. "You're already insane!!!"

"Pfft, please. I'm sure you've seen my dad get more crazy than me." You rolled your eyes. "We're in my mind so you can tell what I'm thinking right.... Enjoy thinking about that witch... Looks like I'm out of here."

You were harshly awaken by black star shaking you. But instead of being mad you gave a soft smile as he climbed off of the bed. "Y/n!" Soul hugged you.

"That's odd, she'd normally be mad at black star wouldn't she?" Maka asked.

"That's a good poin-"

"Medusa and I talked, I think she's gonna back out of my mind for a bit.."

"How'd you do that?" Your dad asked at the door.

"A- you scared me, I didn't see you there dad!" You smiled.

"That's cause he wasn't here." Soul laughed. "He's been tracking your health, it must've shown that you woke up."

"Yeah but it also showed her stress levels and stuff like that, she was actually really relaxed." He shrugged. "So how'd you manage to stay relaxed when speaking to medusa?"

"You're thingy is broken." You laughed. "I wasn't stressed but she called me insane... She can hear my thoughts, and I think I scared her."

"You scared a witch?!!" Kid shouted.

"Medusa isn't one to frighten, she was either faking it or you were thinking something really not ok for your age." Maria said. "She happens to be the sister of Arachne as you know, she's been around to see even Lord death back when he didn't wear his silly mask and talk in the silly voice he does."

"........" You averted your eyes and then rolled over so you weren't facing them. "I hurt her in my mindscape, she can't use magic there so it probably just damaged her soul a bit."
"Why'd you turn away?" Your dad asked. "You scared medusa, I'm proud of you, but we need to work on harvesting your madness into a skill instead of a random offset rampage."

"Agreed." Maria said.

"We should leave the kids to question you now." He laughed.
"How long was I sleeping dad?" You asked.

"About a week, they had to start feeding you through a tube." He said. "However your time was shortened ta mere two weeks due to your quickrecovery."
They left.

"Now that he's gone mind telling us how you scared a witch?" Black star asked. "That's quite an accomplishment, but not as great as myself!"

"........" You went quiet. "It was horrible, I scared myself."

".....you think you'd be prouder." Kid said.

"No!!! It was awful!!!!!" You shouted. "My soul broke and engulfed itself in insanity!!! Black star pulled me out of it by waking me up luckily but in the moment....." You stopped.

"In the moment what?!" Soul shouted. He was worried.

".......I only cared about ripping that snake's head off..... And I was gonna..."
