" C-calm down!" Allen exclaimed with his hands infront of him. The man slammed into Allen sending him flying.

Allen was now sprawled out on the ground with the giant of a man standing over him.

" what's the matter, Allen? You'll catch cold, sleepin'n a place like that," Baba stated helping allen back to his feet.

I walked over to Allen, lenalee right beside me.  I put a gentle hand on Allen's shoulder gaining his attention.

" you all right?" I asked light concern heard in my voice.

"Yeah, im fine... Oh and how's mother?" Allen answered me before going back to Baba his normally pale face now a shade of light pink.

"She's doing well, as usual. When she sees you, she'll-" baba cut himself off with a shocked his eyes going to me before back to Allen then back to me.

" Allen, wh-who's this?!" Baba asked his eyes now glued onto my form.

"Oh, let me introduce you. This is" Allen tried to introduce us but Baba cut him off freaking out.

" MOTHER! I-I-I-I it's terrible! Allen's back and he brought his wife!" Baba cried out, rushing off towards the house with super speed.

My face grew a Scarlet Hue along with Allens.  Lenalee in the mean while let out a small giggle, her hand coming up to cover her mouth.

Allen quickly led us down to the house letting us in.

We all now sat at a table with a short old woman with long brown hair smoking a cigarette staring us down.

" ah, so here she is..." The older women stated starring at me while she put out her cigarette.

Allen immediately got into action waving his hands back and forth.  "No,  no! She's not my wife, she's- "
I cut Allen off " an exorcist from the black border." I stated.

" I know that." Mother stated.

It's obvious, judging from your coat. I see Allen wearing one,  too. " mother said leaning on her hands.

"Ah,  yes. I became an official exorcist half a year ago" Allen said with a smile gracing his face.

" I see... My bean sprouts finally grown up" mother said with a smile.

I let out a small chuckle under my breath.  Gaining a glare from Allen.

" bean sprout?!" Allen exclaim shocked.

" so it wasn't just kanda! Everyone calls you that!" Lenalee laughed.  Making a small smile grace my face.

" lenalee" allen groand.

My attention was drawn away when the door behind Allen opened up and I saw baba standing in the door way. With a large metal pot.

"Allen,  you must be hungry! I made a whole batch of my special stew!

"Now then,  you,  your wife and friend eat up! " baba said with a large smile setting the pot down on the table.

Allen's face grew Pink again and he got into action.

"Im telling you She's not my wife. Baba,  she's-" Allen continued to argue with baba.  Mother and me looked at eacher and let out a small chuckle. 

But mother then stopped and started to stare at me intensely.  Her eyebrows were furrowed with a thoughtful expression on her face. 

"Have we met before..... You look awfully familiar" mother stated gaining everyones attention.

I gave her a confused look.  "I don't believe we have.  Why do you ask? " I wandered.

"You look like someone I know, who are your parents? " she interrogated.

"Mother! " Allen tried to stop her but I put a hand up stopping him.  Giving him "it's alright" look.

I looked back To mother. "I've never met my birth parents but I know the name of my mother, I haven't the faintest clue as to my fathers name,  I was left at an orphanage and taken in by a young couple who died a good couple years ago" I told her not going into detail.

Mothers eyes widen just a bit barely noticeable to anyone unskilled at human body language.

"What's your mothers name? " she inquired.

"Arabella"
