Time seem to fly by for me and Yami. We sat in that old building talking for hours catching up on life, laughing at Old stories. We acted like we never spent a day apart. I looked out the window nearby seeing how it was no longer bright out and that the sun was setting.Remembering Allen and lenalee and the reason for us being here. I shot up from my sitting position eyes wide. "Oh no, I forgot I was supposed to meet up with Allen and lenalee" I exclaimed.
" so....... then that means you're leaving" Yami's deep quiet voice asked. He was looking down at the ground causing his hair to cast a shadow over his eyes, his hands were on his crossed legs in clenched fists, they were slightly shaking.
A frown made its way to my lips I felt my heart clenching in pain. It broke me to leave Yami again after all the time we spent apart.
I crouched down in front of them, using my hand I gently cupped Yami's face and bringing it up for him to look at me. I gave him a sad smile, trying to hold back the tears in my eyes that wanted to so badly come out.
"Hey, it's gonna be ok, were gonna see eachother again, I promise. No matter how long it takes we will see eachother again" I told him, using my thumb to wipe away a tear that escaped his eye.
"But what happens if you get killed by those akuma things" his voice trembled sounding like a scared child.
" what do we say to death" I questioned a small smile never leaving my lips.
" not today" Yami finished for me, a smile now on his lips.
Yami shot across the floor hugging me around my neck bearing his face into my chest. "I'm going to miss you Onē-san" he whispered into my chest.
I wrap my arms around him, one arm going around his back and the other to the back of his head. Holding him tightly to myself.
" I'm going to miss you too Otōto-San" I whispered back feeling my heart break all over again, just like the first time I left.
After a couple minutes of hugging and saying goodbye, feeling my heart break. I left the old building walking down the streets I had gone down earlier. Stopping I turned around to look over my shoulder, there in the door frame looking at me was yami.
I smiled at him sadly, waving my hand at him. He smiled back and waved.
I hated saying goodbye.
Goodbye is the hardest thing to say to someone who means the world to you, especially when goodbye isn't what you want.
Turning away I continued down the street fully intending on keeping this promise even if it's the last thing I do in this world. When I make a promise I keep it. My promise is my word, and my word is my life.
