The Move to LA - Chapter 8

Dear Journal,

Well this last week has been completely crazy as hell and I just don't know how it happened but I'm so happy at the moment I can't believe my luck.

I've started my new job at Charli's and it's been amazing, and I have even made a new friend. She is absolutely, amazing and so easy to talk to, I just know she is going to be an amazing friend.

I also met AJ from the Alpha Dogs and he took me out on a date the other night, but due to band commitments, it was short sweet, but we are going out on a proper date again tonight. He has also sent me tons of flirty text messages, which have certainly, got me all worked up and excited about tonight. I'm not sure where it is going to go but I'm definitely hoping that it will become something more than a few dates!

I've also, got an audition with a band later in the week. Ara's boyfriend is in a band and their vocalist has just quit so they have agreed to give me an audition. I'm really looking forward to it as I really want to pursue my music career. I am a bit worried about how I will get on with the guitarist though as he was a bit of a prick the first time I met him, and even though Tyler has said he is ok once you get to know him, I've still got some concerns.

Oh well there's no point worrying just yet. Let's see how the audition goes first, and if they like me then I will worry about it then.

Well I suppose I had better go and get ready. I've got a night off tonight and I've got a hot date with AJ and then we are meeting up with Ara & Tyler in the club later to watch the Stone Soliders.

I still can't believe it!!! I'm going on a date with AJ from the Alpha Dogs!!!

She throws her journal back onto her bed and walks over to the closet to see what she can wear tonight. She wants to look hot but she doesn't want to look like a tart. After a few frantic minutes of looking through her closet, she starts to freak out as she can't seem to see anything that looks right. She suddenly has a flash back and starts to remember how things were with Paul when they were going out, and she can feel herself starting to panic.

She pushes the memories to the back of her mind, she's determined to keep all of that in the past where it all belongs, and she is even more determined that it's not going to ruin her future with AJ. She is not going to be a victim again. She takes a deep breath, and pushes the anxiety deep down and walks over to her cell and dials the only friend she's got in LA.

'Hey babe, you excited for your date later?' asks Ara as when she answers the call.

'No I'm not, I'm completely freaking out. I don't know what to wear, my hairs a mess and I can't stop my hands from shaking I'm that nervous. Holy fuck Ara, what the fuck am I going to do?'

Ara bursts out laughing, 'Pour yourself a drink, and I will be there in 10. Oh and Lexi, make sure it's a SMALL drink, you don't want to be pissed before he even gets there.'

'Thanks Ara you're a gem, I don't know what I would do without you'

'No problems babe, I'm on my way'

Lexi has only known Ara a week but she really has been a great friend. Every time she has freaked out about AJ, Ara has been on the end of the phone ready to calm her down.

It's only the 2nd time that Lexi and AJ will have gone out together. Unlike the last time, tonight they are going into the club after the meal, and considering they can barely keep their hands off each other when they are sober, she can't help but wonder what it will be like after they have both had a few drinks. Especially when there will be alot of his fans there, trying to get his attention and the rest of his band will be there too, and it will be the first time that she will have met them!
