Chapter 1 - Lexi
Dear Journal,
I've finally gone and done it..............I can't believe it, I'm finally here in LA!
Ever since I was a little girl I have always wanted to move here and become a singer in a rock band and now it's finally happening!!!
Everyone told me I was being stupid and that I should stop being an idiot and get myself a 'real job'. Why can't they see that singing is my life? It's the only thing I have ever wanted to do!
I know its going to be tough to start off with especially as I don't know anyone here, but as my darling sister CJ says, 'Never regret what you have done.........Regret what you never did'
Well I'm going to sign off for now as I need to start unpacking all my boxes, then get ready for my new job. I still can't believe I've got a job in 'Charli's Rock Club'! It's one of the biggest rock clubs on the strip, and anyone who is anyone in the rock scene goes there. Who knows, I may even get to play there one day!
As Lexi throws her journal down on the bed, she looks around her new apartment and smiles. It's only a small 2 bedroom apartment, but at least it's not grotty like some of the other places she has looked at, over the last few months, and it all belongs to her and no-one else. Thankfully, the trust fund she got off her grandma along with the money she saved up over the years was enough for her to put a decent deposit down. She even treated herself to a nice new bike and still has a fair amount left in the bank, just as a backup in-case everything all goes down the pan. She's so determined that she can make it on her own, even though most of her family and friends thinks she cant.
She has always hated the fact that she comes from a wealthy family and having high profile attorney's as parents didn't help. When she was at school, the majority of people were only interested in her because of who her parents were or because of how rich her family was. She was always one of the popular girls, and was always invited to the best parties, and things like that, but they were never true friends, which she found out the hard way, especially after what happened with Paul! Its amazing how quickly you can go from the most popular to the most hated girl in the world so quickly. At least here, no-one knows who she is, how rich she really is, or what happened to her back in Virginia, or why she had to leave. This is the chance for her to make real friends, who are her friends because of the person she is, and not because of the money.
After 2 hours of lugging boxes around and unpacking, she has finally unpacked all of her belongings and set up her laptop and recording equipment in the small room which is to be her studio, and as a huge sense of calm washes over her, she picks up her guitar and sits down and starts to play. This is when she is at her happiest and as the music flows through the apartment, she starts to imagine what it will be like when she is finally famous. Standing in front of the huge audience, singing her heart out and strumming away to one of the songs she has written, as the audience jump up and down, screaming along to the lyrics. As she looks over to the side of the stage, she sees her dad standing there with a huge smile on his face, and as their eyes meet, he mouths the words she has been longing for him to say for years 'I am so proud of you!'
As Lexi's alarm goes off she is suddenly, brought back to reality, and its only then does she realise, that she has got tears rolling down her eyes. It's so upsetting for her and she can't understand why her dad isn't supporting her the way he did with CJ. He refuses to realise that she doesn't want to be an attorney like him or her mum, or even a surgeon like CJ! Music is her passion, her dream, and it's why she has worked so hard over the years. She has put her blood, sweet, tears, heart and soul into becoming good enough, and just because he doesn't agree or support her, she's determined that she's not going to give up until she achieves her dream. She will become famous and she will prove him, and everyone else who doubted her wrong, even if it is the last thing that she does! Thankfully, Lexi's Grandma and sister CJ have never doubted her, and it was their support and belief in her that gave her the courage to finally pack up and leave Virginia the way she did.
After a quick shower, she heads over to her closet and pull out her cutest jeans, and her favourite band t-shirt and as she checks herself in her mirror, she says to herself. 'Well Lexi, I must say you're looking damn fine girl and that t-shirt is showing just enough boob to get you plenty of attention without looking like a whore!' She finishes drying her long blonde hair and applies her makeup so that it makes her blue eyes look even more beautiful, and her lips looking so soft and kissable. She grabs her leather jacket and helmet, and heads down to the basement parking, where her bike is sitting in its parking bay. It's a Harley Davidson Forty Eight Special, which has not only been customised, but also has a phoenix painted along both sides of the gas tank. Next to her guitar collection, this bike is her pride and joy.
As she approaches the bike, she notice that there is a tall, and extremely attractive guy standing there admiring it. As she get closer to him, he looks up and when he notices the helmet in her hand, he smiles. 'Is this yours? I was expecting to see some big ass biker guy heading over to this beauty, not some totally cute blonde.... Hi I'm Elliot Garcia'
She blushes at his compliment and she can't help but notice the way he looks over her body, until his eyes reach her large ample bosom and he gently bites the corner of his bottom lip before smiling. 'Hi I'm Lexi, and yes this is my baby, and the last time I looked in the mirror I definitely wasn't a bad ass biker' she says jokingly as she holds out her hand. Elliot takes hold of her hand and instead of shaking it, he slowly lifts it to his lips and gently kisses it while looking straight into her eyes. She can feel his breath on the back of her hand as he kisses it, and she is suddenly aware of how much she craves a man's touch. It's been over 18 months since she caught Paul in bed with her ex-best friend and ever since then she has vowed to put her music career before a guy again, but Elliot has certainly lit that spark inside of her.
Hmmm maybe I can have a little flirty, no strings fun with this guy. Who knows maybe I can let him help clear the cobwebs away! She thinks to herself, as she slowly looks him up and down. He's in his early 30's, tall and from what she can see, he is a very muscular guy, who takes a lot of time and effort into his appearance. He's not her usual type, but there is something about this guy that she simply can't stop staring at. He's got short brown hair, which is cut perfectly and he has big brown eyes. Those along with the chiselled jawline and dimples are enough to send a shiver straight down Lexi's spine and straight to her groin.
'Well it certainly is a pleasure to meet you Lexi. I take it you have just moved into apartment 209. Well I'm just across the hall in 208. If you don't have any plans this evening, why don't you pop over for a coffee?' As he says the words coffee, he gives her a cheeky little wink and slowly arches one of his eyebrows, and it is extremely obvious that if she did go over, then there would definitely be a lot more than coffee on offer... She instantly regrets that she is working tonight, as she really wants to take him up on his offer and see what happens, but as cute as Elliot is, there is no way she can skip work tonight, especially as it's her first night. She makes a mental note to herself to make sure she gets to Victoria Secrets in the next few days to buy some new and sexy underwear. Just in case of course!
'Thanks for the invitation Elliot, but I'm actually just heading out to work...... but I would love it if we can take a rain check sometime?' She says in the sexiest and most flirtatious way that she can.
'I certainly hope so too.... Take it easy Lexi, and I look forward to that rain check.' Elliot says as he takes her hand again and kisses it while looking from her eyes to her chest. Oh my god, this guy is so cute, and if a simple kiss on the hand can get me all hot and horny like this, then god knows what it will be like if I get him alone in a room! She thinks to herself
As Elliot walks over towards the lift, Lexi climbs onto her bike and as she pulls the helmet on, she can't help but watch him walk away. Suddenly, as if he knows he is being watched, Elliot turns around and catches her checking out his ass. He gives her a cheeky smile and turns back around to carry on walking to the elevator, but as he's walking away, he lifts his jacket up just enough so that she can get a proper look at his ass and gives it a little shake. Lexi bursts out laughing.
As the bike roars into life, she feels the engine purr between her legs and, she begins to wonder what it would be like to have Elliot between them instead of the bike, and she is suddenly aware that she is starting to get very excited at that thought. She quickly shakes the image out of her mind and pulls the bike out of the bay, and as she rides past the elevator, Elliot is just going in. He turns around and gives her a smile, which instantly sends a hot flush straight down to her groin.... Oh god I really do need to get me a piece of that ass, and the sooner the better! She thinks to herself.
