It's the day of the auditions for the new vocalist, and once again the people coming through the door haven't been much good. The ones with the amazing voice have no stage presence, the ones with the stage presence can't sing. As they start getting near to the end of the auditions, the lads are slowly starting to feel deflated and wondering if they will ever find a replacement vocalist.
There's only two more people to see and the tension in the practice room is horrendous. Jax has insisted that Jodi auditions again and Tyler has insisted Lexi auditions, and both guys are convinced that their girl is the best one for the band, and neither of them is prepared to back down.
'So we all agree that the last guy is a complete and definite NO then' says Brad
'Definitely, I just can't see our fans going for someone with that kind of voice' laughs Tyler
'So there's only Lexi and Jodi left to see then! I'm looking forward to seeing what Lexi can bring to the table as from what I've heard she's got a great voice but I'm just not sure how she will fit with us, and as for Jodi!!! Why the hell are we seeing her again??' Brad asks
'Jodi had a sore throat last time she auditioned, so she didn't get the chance to show us how good she really is' replies Jax.
Both Brad and Tyler look at each other quizzically. It's obvious that neither of them believe a word Jax says, and unless Jodi gives one hell of an amazing performance, which they both doubt, neither of them are going to agree to her joining the band.
Jodi walks into the room with one of her cronies. She's wearing the shortest skirt and tightest top you could ever imagine, and straight away Jax's eyes are virtually popping out of his head.
'Hey guys, hope your all ready for me! Toni, hold my purse will you babe.' Jodi gives her purse to Toni and walks over to Jax, and before he knows it, she gives him a kiss right in front of everyone and just as Lexi and Ara walk in.
Everyone is shocked at what has just happened, but no-one is more shocked than Jax. What the fuck is she doing? Why on earth, did she just do that in front of everyone? Is she mad? He fumes to himself. I know I apologised to her for what happened at the club the other night, and I know we have hooked up a few times since then, but fuck me, if she's done this in the hope that we will be more than fuck buddies, she is seriously wrong! Looks like I'm gonna have to speak to her later and tell her a few home truths.
Jodi turns around and looks at Ara and Lexi, and gives then a sly smirk before going over to the mic stand. 'OK guys, when your ready I will show you that I'm definitely what you need for this band' she says.
Brad and Tyler look at each other and shrug their shoulders, then Tyler counts them in to the first song.
'What the hell was all that about? Do you think Jax and Jodi are a couple? Ara says to Lexi.
'Judging by the look on Jax's face, I think that is a definite NO! Well at least from his point of view anyway. To be brutally honest, I think there is definitely something going on between them though! I'm certain I've seen them in the corner by the VIP bar a few times and if there is something going on, then I'm certain that's her way of telling us to keep our hands off him, and she's trying to mark her territory' Giggles Lexi.
'Yeah well trust me, she can definitely keep him as far as I'm concerned. I am definitely happy with my Tyler, and as for you and AJ!!! Yeah I don't think you will be swapping Mr Sexy Rock God for Mr Grumpy over there.' They both burst out laughing
As Jodi starts to sing, Lexi takes her guitar out of the case and starts to tune it up, while trying not to cringe at the squealing coming from Jodi's mouth. 'Jesus Christ Ara, I know you said her voice was bad, but fuck me, I definitely didn't think it was this bad! I'm surprised they let her even audition again??'
