Third and forth period passed and it was time for lunch. I headed inside the lunch room going to our usual lunch table, claiming my seat. As soon as I sat down April joined, followed by Quintrell and Kai with our food. April opened the Burger King bag and handed us each what we ordered.
"You forgot my chocolate shake?" I asked not seeing an extra drink, and feeling upset because I loved dipping my fries in my shake. "No I got it, tank head over there got it." She said causing me to look at Kai, and catch him drinking out my shake. "Stop drinking all my shake, I don't know where your lips been." I shouted at Kai taking my shake from him. "You want me to tell y'all where they been?" He asked being petty. "Noppee, we good." I said. "Speak for yourself, cause I wanna know." Quintrell said being serious. "That's cause you just nasty." April told Quintrell. "I know you not talking, at least my face don't look nasty, with your ole lopsided head." Quintrell replied.
April gave Q the finger while putting fries in her mouth, and we all just started laughing and eating. These two was forever fighting and roasting each other. We all finished eating and threw away our trash. It was time to head to our 5th period class, which was literature. Luckily we all shared that class, so we all walked to class together.
I was in the seat I always sit in between my best friends April and Kai. As class was about to start there was a knock on the class room door. "Oh yes, attention class." Mr. Hall said standing in front of the class with a unfamiliar student. "We have a new transfer student her name is Summer Reed. Let's all give her a welcome." Mr.Hall said while smiling pleasantly. The class soon filled with hello Summers and welcomes. That's when I realized that the girl was the one April was talking about Keysha's cousin. "Summer you can take the empty seat in front of Kai Legend, Kai- can you raise your hand please?" Mr.Hall asked. Summer walked over and sat down smiling at Kai. I can already see its going to be a long year.
Our literature class was pretty cool. Mr.Hall was a down to earth teacher. He always found a way to bring lessons to life, which is probably why all the students enjoyed his class. We had been talking about Shakespeare.
" William Shakespeare was an English poet, also playwright and actor. Probably one of the greatest writers in the English language, and the world's greatest dramatist." Mr.Hall said speaking to the class.
" Class take out your pens and paper and write this down. Assignment- I want you all to write a paper. Your take on a modern Shakespeare. Along with this paper, you're going to do a class presentation of your choice of an play, a movie, a song, or even a poem. Also on this modern Shakespeare you will have a partner on this assignment, and its the person sitting next to you. On this assignment I want to see in-depth writing, you need to have a cover page. In two weeks I want to check a outline, because it's going to help you organize your ideas and arguments. Make sure you research, plan, cite sources, and pay attention to your grammar. This will be a big part of your grade." Mr.Hall said as the bell rung and the class ended. "I guess we partners." Kai said to me as we were getting up from our seats. "I guess I'm partners with Scooby snacks over here." Quintrell said talking about April.
