Monday Morning. June 10, 2019

Dean woke up to the sound of clanging coming from the main room. Reluctantly, he rolled out of bed and went to inspect what was going on. Much to his surprise (and dismay), he found Castiel cooking. Cooking? Cas never cooked unless he had to. He was flipping bacon in a greasy pan.

"Cas, what the hell are you doing?" Dean asked.

Cas turned and smiled. "I'm making breakfast."

"Well, yeah. I get that. But why?"

Cas sent down the spatula, turning and giving Dean a rather tired but fond look. "I'm going to have to learn to cook eventually. Might as well start now."

Dean scrunched his eyebrows together. "Why do you need to learn? I can cook for us."

Cas smiled at him sadly. "I know you can." Saying no more, he turned back and began to scoop bacon out of the pan onto a plate.

Dean gave him a wary look and went into the fridge, pulling out a jug of milk. Once he had a glass poured, he shuffled out of the kitchen into the dining room.

Jack was sitting there, smiling at him brightly. "Good morning, Dean! You look... confused."

Dean scoffed, sitting across from him. "I guess so. It's your dad."

Jack frowned. "Which one?"

"Uh, Cas." Dean chuckled a bit. "He's cooking, which is weird for him."

"Cooking is weird?"

"It is if you're an angel who doesn't eat."

Jack sighed, getting up and heading to the kitchen to talk to Cas. Before he got there, they bumped into each other in the doorway.

Cas jumped, nearly dropping the plate of bacon and eggs. "Sorry, Jack!" He exclaimed. "I didn't see you."

Jack smiled. "It's alright, Cas." Cas tried to move past him, but he stopped him. "I was just wondering... is everything alright?"

Cas looked at him strangely. "Everything's fine. Why?"

"Oh, nothing. It's just... Dean seemed worried."

Cas smiled. "I'm fine, Jack. Just have some breakfast, alright?"

Jack nodded. They both went into the dining room where Dean and Sam were sitting, awaiting the food eagerly.

When Dean's eyes caught the steaming plate, he clapped excitedly. "Hell yes, man. That's what I'm talking about!"

Cas rolled his eyes affectionately, setting the plate down. "You act like you've never been fed before."

Dean quickly snatched a piece of bacon, stuffing it in his mouth. "Nah, just never had anybody cook breakfast for me in a while." He said through a mouthful. "Damn, this is good! How come you never cook?"

Cas shrugged, sitting down. "You've never asked, I suppose."

Sam rolled his eyes, reaching forward to snatch a piece of bacon. Holy shit, he thought. This was incredible. It had a perfect combination of crispy and chewy, but it wasn't burnt or undercooked. He hadn't thought it was possible to have bacon better than the bacon at Dan's Burger Shack in Missouri, but who knew an angel can cook? "Woah, Cas!" He called. "This is the best bacon I've ever had!"

Cas smiled at the floor sheepishly. "Thank you, Sam."

Jack looked between the three of them, smiling a bit. It was nice having his three dads back. He was tired of all the fighting that had happened last year. There was a time where he doubted if they would ever be a family again. But they were. And he was happy.
