Ethan's POV:
I was sitting in my last period History class. My teacher, Mr. Oliver, droned on and on about things I didn't care about. "For this lesson, I decided that we should do a project." He said. I looked at him. "I wrote down your subject on a piece of paper and another person has that same subject, you have to go around and find the person." He said passing out little sheets of paper. I read mine and it said Civil War. "OK, go." He said and we all got up. I walked around and asked everyone I saw but they didn't have mine. "Hey Ethan, what do you have?" I saw Sheyenne standing right in front of me. She was wearing a pink cropped shirt and really short blue jean shorts. I bit my lip. Ethan stop looking at her like that you have a girlfriend. "I have Civil War." "Me too!" she said smiling. I smiled slightly, this is going to be a long project.
I sat down at her desk beside her and started talking, after a while I noticed that she's nice and funny, I didn't even know the bell rang. "So, when do you want to start this project?" I asked her. "How about tomorrow at 3?" She said getting up. I nodded. "See you tomorrow." She smiled and walked off. "Dude, you are so lucky," Josh said to me as we walked towards the locker room. "Why?" I asked. "Your partner is Sheyenne Young." He said. "So." I started. "She's..." he started. "You know we both have girlfriends," I said opening my locker. "I know." He said. "But I still think you're lucky." I chuckled and changed into my football clothes.
After football practice, I got in my car and drove home. "Hey, honey." I heard my mom say as soon as I got in the house. "Hey, mom." I smiled and kissed her cheek gently. "Booboo." I heard a little voice say. I looked down and saw my three-year-old little sister, Kaylee, looking back at me. "Hey, sweetie." I smiled picking her up. She giggled as I kissed her cheek gently. When I set her down, she sat at her place at the table. I sat down at mine, right in front of my mom.
On my plate was a piece of grilled chicken, mashed potatoes, and diced carrots. We began eating. "Boo boo, how was your day?" Kaylee's little voice asked me. "Good, how was yours?" I smiled. "Fun, I finger-painted and played with my friends." She said. I nodded. When we finished, I washed the dishes and sat down on our crème colored chair. Kaylee was coloring in her coloring book and mom was typing on her laptop. I felt my Blackberry vibrating and I took it out, I had a text from Blake

See you then😘I smiled and put my phone in my pocket. Kaylee was looking at her colorful drawing. When she noticed me looking at her, she smiled hugely and lifted the light pink book up. "Look boo boo!!" she said. I smiled and nodded. "It's beautiful Kay." She smiled and put her book down. She climbed onto the couch with mom.
She laid her blonde hair on my mom's lap. "Mommy, I tired." She said quietly putting her little thumb in her mouth. "Ethan, can you come put her to bed?" she asked me. I nodded and got up. I picked up the small child and wrapped my arms around her. "Night mommy." She said. "Night sweetie." She smiled as I walked towards Kaylee's room.
I sat down on the floor as she changed into her pajamas which were a light pink gown. I helped into her bed. "Night booboo, I love you." She said sticking her thumb back into her mouth. I chuckled slightly and took her thumb out of her mouth. I kissed her small thumb which she stuck back into her mouth. "I love you too princess," I said quietly, turning her light off and closing her bedroom door. "Night mom," I said. "Night honey." She said. I walked to my room and changed into my black basketball shorts. I got onto my bed and laid my head on my pillow. I yawned and closed my eyes, falling asleep.
•••I woke up and turned towards my black alarm clock. 2:45 read the time in bright red numbers. I got up and walked towards my closet. I picked out a white t-shirt and red on black basketball shorts. I took a long shower, brushed my teeth and got dressed. I shook my wet brown hair and put a black LA hat on. "Ethan, someone's here for you." I heard my mom say. I walked down the stairs and saw Sheyenne standing there. She was wearing a bright yellow tank top, short blue jean shorts, and tan sandals. "Hey Ethan, ready to work?" she smiled sweetly at me. "Sure." I smiled and led her upstairs to my room.
Sheyenne's POV:
I followed Ethan up to his room which was surprisingly clean for a 16-year-old boy. I looked around, his full-sized bed was in the middle of his room and there was a small desk in front of it. I looked at his posters which were of Football and Basketball players. "You can sit on my bed if you want." He said to me.
I sat down carefully on his bed and watched him take out a notebook. "So, we have to do a video right?" he asked me turning his Macbook on. I nodded and watched him log in. his wallpaper was a picture of him and a little girl. "Who's the little girl?" I asked out loud. "My baby sister, Kaylee." He answered. "Aw, she's so cute." I smiled at him. He smiled and chuckled. "Yeah, really cute." He said softly. He clicked onto the video maker and typed our title, which was The Civil War by Ethan Johnston and Sheyenne Young. "Ready to get started?" he said looking at me. I nodded, and we started our project.
After a couple of hours of researching and fooling around, we finally finished and emailed it to our teacher. "We did well." I smiled and popped a popcorn kernel in my mouth. "Yeah, this is the quickest I've done a project." He smiled. I laughed and looked at him. We both met eyes for a couple of minutes and I looked away. "Sheyenne." He said, and I whipped my head around. His face was a couple of centimeters from mine. "Ethan." I started. He just looked into my eyes. "Kiss me," I said, and he did until the door opened.
A/N: I can't believe Ethan and Sheyenne...
