Nico pov

I woke up from my nap and went right to the bridge. I found Leo at the helm. "How we looking Leo?" I asked him expecting a snarky comment "Oh bro we are golden!" He said. I was about to protest that I wasn't his bro but I realized it was the first time he called me his friend in the years I've known him. So instead I smiled. "How long until we get to L.A.?" Leo checked the radar "About an hour" he guessed. I went down to lunch to find everyone eating. Jason was the first to acknowledge me "Hey Nico" he said. I waved at him "And he's alive" Annabeth joked. "Ha,ha very funny" I said "C'mon Nico lighten up" Thalia said "So says Artimes's lieutenant. The single most negative person I know." I returned. Everyone laughed even me. I finished my food and said "Hazel can I talk to you for a minute." "Sure" she said worried. I led her back to my room. She sat down and said "So what do you wanna talk about?" I looked her in the eye "Do you know why I told Leo to take us to L.A.?" I asked she nodded "Because it's where fathers realm is" I nodded "Yes I think he can give us some answers as to why Tartarus is rising and who's helping him." "That's a good idea only we can't go down there alone" My eyes widened "Did not think of that one" "We'll just go upstairs tell everyone and gather a small team of 6" "Sounds like a plan" We walked back upstairs and told everyone our plan " ABSOLUTELY NOT!" Will shouted "No way your going down there" I rolled my eyes "I can make my own decisions Will. Cuz if this" I made a motion with my hands pointing to him and back at me "Is gonna work. You need to give me some breathing room" he lost his cool and stormed out. Percy whistled "Sheesh" he exclaimed "Am I like that sometimes?" "Yes" Annabeth said "Whoa I'm sorry. Like really sorry." "Anyways" Hazel continued "Any volunteers?" Leo started "I'm in" "No" I said "Why not?" "Are you new?" Hazel asked "You died remember. If you go down there Hades will try to claim your soul" Leo turned pale "On second thought" he sat back down. "I think Piper should come." I ventured "What? why me?" She complained "Your the best negotiator we got. If things go south down there we'll need you to break a deal." She sighed "I'm not getting out of this am I?" "No" me and Hazel said in unison. Then Calypso stood up "I should go too." She said "I'm the best healer we got. Well the only one in the right state of mind." I nodded "Yeah we'll need you" "That leaves 2 more" Hazel pointed out "Percy, Annabeth we would never ask you to-" "I'm in" Percy said "I'm in two" Annabeth added "What?" I asked confused "But what about...yknow" "We all must get over fear to truly know who we are" Annabeth said wisely "Wow" Thalia said "That was deep" "We should really write this stuff down" Frank said. "Alright everyone get ready we depart once we get to L.A. wich would be 29 minutes at best." And with that we started to prepare.
