Chapter 7- Family Reunion

Reader's POV

I was woke to a couple voices crying and talking to Reiji downstairs. A woman spoke in a shaky tone of voice.

"Where is my little girl?!"

"She's upstairs but she's testing and would be best not to disturb her."

I realized it was my uncle and aunt. I thought it be best to stay in bed though and eventually I fell back asleep.

Reiji's POV

I was reading in the living room and looked at my watch which read 4:38 pm. I decided to go check on (Y/N) but then a mid-age couple burst through the doors. The woman instantly started crying and screaming wanting to know where (Y/N) was. Her husband placed a hand on her shoulder and asked calmly.

"I'm sorry for my wife's outburst. She's just been worried sick. Is (Y/N) okay?"

"She is perfectly fine and just needs to rest. She be better tomorrow."

"What happened to the girl that tried to kill her?"

"I expelled her from school grounds and I told the authorities afterwards. She will be safe."

"Where is my little girl?!"

Her aunt yelled and I told her she was upstairs and needed to rest. Her husband ushered her to leave and he gave me a faint smile leaving with his wife. I went up to check on (Y/N) to see if she woke up from the drama downstairs. I open the door to still see her sleeping peacefully in bed. I smile at her sleeping form and pulled up a chair next to her bed. I got a book and started reading waiting for her to wake up soon.

Reader's POV

I flutter my eyes open and see Reiji reading a book next to me in a chair. I reach my hand out to him and he notices. He takes my hand and strokes my head.

"Are you alright (Y/N)?"

"Yes, thank you Reiji."

"Let me see your wounds."

I got up and he unwrapped the bandages revealing my wounds. They were completely healed not even a scar to be seen.

"Can you walk?"

I get up and walk in a straight line from my bed to the door. I turn to face him to see him with a big grin on his face. I return a smile and ask teasingly.

"What's with that smile?"

He walks over to me and hugs me.

"I'm just happy your okay because after that stabbing I thought you were a dead girl."

"But you saved me from Kizana. Reiji can I ask you something?"

"Anything."

"Remember when you said those things about me, all the things that Kizana wasn't about I was, did you mean all those things about me?"

"Of course. All the young ladies I seen and met are not like you. Your more special than them."

I giggled and hugged him tighter. I could somehow feel as if he was smiling at me while returning my strong embrace.

"Did my aunt and uncle come back at all?"

"Yes, they did. They were really worried about you."

"That sounds like them whenever I get hurt."

Reiji chuckled and said something I wasn't expecting.

"I was worried about you too."

"Why worry about little me?"

"Because...I c-care about you."

He studdered. I felt blood rushed to my cheeks turning them bright pink. I didn't respond but smile and hug him.

Timeskip to next day...

I got ready and made sure that the bed was perfectly made just like it was when I got here to the Sakamaki Manor. I heard the big wooden doors downstairs open followed by two familiar voices. My uncle and aunt. I ran down the stairs where Reiji was greeting them but tethering have time speak when they saw me. I leaped and hugged my uncle because I knew if I leaped and hugged my aunt then her and I would fall breaking her poor old back in the process.

My aunt started crying and same as my uncle.

"My little girl! I'm so glad your okay!"

My aunt exclaimed.

"I miss you both so much."

After a happy reunion, my uncle and aunt turned to Reiji.

"Thank you for saving and looking over our little girl."

My uncle said. Reiji pulled his glasses up to the bridge of his nose and replied.

"My pleasure. You both have an amazing niece."

I gave Reiji a big bear hug and thanked him once more.

"Thank you so much for saving me, Reiji."

He returned the hug wrapping his strong slender arms around me. My uncle said it was time to leave. Reiji whispered in my ear.

"You can come back here whenever you want. See you tomorrow at school."

I looked at him, winked, and smiled leaving him blushing faintly red in his cheeks.

Author's Note: Hey guys! Sorry updates have been slow because of school. Soon, summer will be upon me and my friends so then the updates will be four times per week. Only four more weeks and I'm free. I want to give a shout out to my friend at school, Rose_Flower2004. I'm super excited for summer not only to update for you guys but in August, I'm going to see Skillet in Illinois.
