Chapter 12-(Y/N)'s True Self

Reader's POV

'My moon. It came off.'

Reiji steps in front of me stretching his arms out to protect me from Kizana and that was the last thing I saw before screaming in pain.

Reiji's POV

I stood in front of (Y/N) to protect her because Kizana was armed and dangerous. Then, (Y/N) began screaming and it seemed as if the woods got a whole lot darker. Kizana tried to attack me but I slapped her in the face and she fell on the ground. I looked at (Y/N) and she started transforming. I saw bones underneath her skin move, her height seemed to increase, her hair changed colors going from light brown to an umbre of black and purple with black on top and purple on the bottom and not only did her hair change color; it also grew from being at her tailbone to her ankles.

I ran to her to check if she was okay to see her teeth grew fangs and her beautiful dress had turned into a black crop top and skirt that were torn at the bottom with high heel metal-looking boots and a belt with chains around her waist, the chains went from her hip length to her feet almost hitting the floor. She opened her eyes and she had crimson blood red eyes instead of emerald green. She also had black fishnet gloves that almost went up to her shoulders and she still had the spider web pattern poncho on.She also had fox ears and a tail on her body. Kizana got up from the ground and saw what she had become.

"What are you?"

She asked in shaky voice. The fear was so obvious and she was trembled so much that the knives fell from her grasp. She started to back away in fear and (Y/N) got up from the ground. Her stare was icy cold as if she could impale your soul. She let out a deep growl and charged at her.

Reader's POV

I snarled at Kizana and lunged at her. I knocked her down with a kick and began leveraging her across her face and torso. She wailed in excruciation and attempted to crawl away. I grabbed her by the ankles and smacked her into a tree. Her face now cloaked in her blood, she began crying for forgiveness. She was now on her hands and knees. I raised her up by her collar and said in a deep satanic voice.

"Sorry. I'll take blood over mercy."

I gnawed on her neck giving it a nasty crunch. Her blood burst from her body onto me soaking me in crimson blood. I picked up and threw her body in the lake and turned to Reiji. I apprehended him on the ground about to bite his neck but stopped myself.

'NO!'

I yelled in my head and I could see terror in his eyes.

"(Y/N)..."

He mumbled under his breath. I grabbed the moon off the grass and reattached it on my choker. I turned back into my human self. The fox ears and tail disappeared from my body, my teeth and nails shrunk down to normal, my height reversed back, my clothes turned back into the dress but in a ragged state, my hair stayed the same length and color, and finally my eyes returned to their natural emerald color. Thunder clashed and lightning strike the jet black night making grey, thick clouds visible. Then, the rain began down-pouring on us. I looked to see Reiji cover me with his coat and pick me up. I was about pass out only to hear Reiji say.

"Just rest, (Y/N)."

I smiled and closed my eyes. All I cared about was that Reiji was safe and sound. But now what does he think of me?
