Human AU!

Roman has just finished a performance. It was a success! In fact, the whole week had been amazing.

Monday, he arrived in work in time, having little to do at his job as he had finished most of it already.

Tuesday, he got a promotion, now a manager for a small team, earning more money then he previously had.

Wednesday, his best friend Patton got engaged and had informed Roman that he was going to be the best man.

Thursday, he got Dominos as he watched a cheesy Disney romance movie with his boyfriend Dee.

Friday, his frenemy, Virgil, asked if they could get a coffee together as Roman checked through some of Virgil's poems he was hoping to publish and felt honoured.

Saturday, Logan, his logical brother, became a boss and they had gone out for a meal with the family.

And tonight was Sunday. After a long day of preforming and it going extremely well, he decided that he'd treat his boyfriend.

Dee Copperhead was his boyfriend for three years. Despite the massive burn mark on half of Dee's face, Roman still adored him. He loved the snakes Dee owned, he loved the fact that Dee wore yellow and black. However, Patton didn't particularly like him, though still was friendly, Logan always pointed out the extensive amount of lies he spoke and Virgil just hated him, he didn't try to hide it and constantly aimed to protect Roman. Virgil hates him so much, he called him, 'Deceit', a name quickly caught on by Logan.

However, Roman ignored their warnings and continued to date him and they even moved into Romans house. Dee was a lawyer, a good one at that. But, being so good meant late nights and sadly, Dee usually went out on a Sunday, which meant he couldn't make it to the show.

Roman wasn't upset though. He was just thinking of a way to greet his boyfriend as he bought some bright, royal, red roses. Even the heavy rain couldn't dampen his happy mood.

He practically skipped home.

Once he arrived, he whistled as he unlocked the door, but just as he was about to open it, someone else opened it from inside.

However, it wasn't Dee.

There was a guy with blonde hair, pale skin and green eyes, who he was, Roman didn't know all he knew was that the man had large, red hickeys on his neck and ruffled clothes and hair.

"Uh... hey?" Said the man, which made Roman glare.

"Dee!"

It seemed like the man heard and rushed out, "R-Roman? What are you-"

"Who the heck is this?!"

"I'm sorry, I have to go." The mystery man pecked Dee's red and swollen lips and ran out into the rain.

Roman looked up heartbroken, the petals of the roses falling, fluttering down to the wet ground, "you cheated on me..."

Dee sighed, "look, I'm sorry it's just-"

The anger faded and all he felt now was number, how long had this been going on for? Why did he stay? Was this some sick, twisted, messed up game to him? Did Dee even care? Did he do this for fun? Did he do this for a dare?

"Did you ever even love me?" Roman hadn't realised he'd started crying until he tasted the salty tears on his tongue.

It took a minute for the man to reply, "I did at one point Ro, I did..."

"It's Roman!" Shouted the actor.

The lawyer sighed, "I just... this relationship lost its spark ages ago... I'm sorry Roman..."

"No you're not. If you was you wouldn't have done this... you would have broken up with me instead." He dropped the roses to the ground, his hair matted and stuck to his head, his clothes see through and clung to his skin, tears mixing with rain.

Roman walked up the steps to his house and shoved Dee out, "get out of my house and collect your crap tomorrow."

Dee frowned, "Roman-"

"Virgil was right about you."

"Please, Roman I'm sorry-"

Again, the actor shook his head, "no... You aren't."

He shut the door and slid down and sat on the floor. He held his knees to his chest, his arms wrapped around his legs tightly and secure and cried.

He should never have let Dee into his life.
