Chapter 9 - Our Little Secret

M O N I C A

I followed Hiccup to a cove. It was really pretty. Birds flew in and out of the cove, and bunnies hopped here and there. There was a big lake in the middle of the cove.

"What is this place?" I asked as Hiccup walked to the lake.

"Oh, uh, your going to find me crazy when I tell you this."

"What is it?"

Hiccup jumped in the water.

"Hiccup?"

"Hold on." Hiccup said as he caught a fish with his hands.

"Is there a dragon here?" I asked.

Hiccup turned to me and nodded.

"Really? Cool!"

Hiccup dropped the fish on the ground.

"Stand back. He's coming." Hiccup said. He took my hand and walked away from the fish.

"What's his name?" I asked.

"Doesn't have one."

I became silent.

"You have an untamed dragon living here?" I asked.

Suddenly, a black dragon appeared above a boulder. He stretched out his wings and walked to the fish. I turned to Hiccup and saw him smiling.

"That's the dragon?" I asked.

"Yeah, he's a Night Fury."

"A Night Fury? Cool! Wait until Gobber hears about this!" I said excitedly.

"Monica, you can't tell anyone." Hiccup said.

I nodded.

"It's our little secret." Hiccup said.
