Chapter Twenty Two

    Roger woke up as his alarm rang. He slammed his hand down it to shut it up. He sat up from his bed, his eyes mid opened, carful to not trip on something like a drumstick [A/N : I did it once 😂]. He walked toward his closet and grabbed his clothes to dress himself. After he went to Alex's bedroom to wake him up. For once, Roger was awake before his brother. He felt a little proud of himself. He slowly entered in the bedroom, to see his brother sleeping... But... He was breathing very quickly. That worried Roger. He quickly knelt down by the bed and gasped when he saw tears stains on his brother's cheek. He was having a nightmare. «Alex ! Wake up Alex !» He shook him forcefully. Alex's eyes snapped open, full of fear, and he quickly buried himself into Roger's neck. «You're okay, you're okay...» Roger cooed as he stroked Alex's hair. «Do you want to talk about it ?» Alex froze. He didn't really want to talk about his giant confusion, but maybe Roger could help him.

    «Um... I-It was 'bout... J-John...» He managed to say. Roger knew it was important. He knew his confusion about Deaky.

    «It's okay Ax... Do you remember what happened in your nightmare...?» He asked, not wanting to push him.

    «W-Well... I-I was with him and... S-Suddenly he shoved away me b-because of my scars... H-He said I was useless... H-He... He pulled up my sleeves... To let everyone see them... He... He humiliated me !» Alex explained as he cried harder. Roger held him tighter against him.

    «Ax... Deaky would never do that... You know him, he's way too innocent to do something horrible like that... He... He cares about you, and he would never try to humiliate you. He loves you Alex, very much... Like me, Clare, Fred, Mum and Dad...» Roger explained calmly.

    «I-I love him too... I-I mean... I don't know... H-He's great but... H-He can't love me... R-Right...?» Alex said, very unsure of himself. Roger smiled and shook his head.

    «Of course he can loves you Ax... Everybody can. And I'm sure he loves you too.» He didn't want to tell him that Deaky really had feelings for him.

    «I-I hope... He does... Too...»

    «I support you Ax, as much as you support me. Does that mean we're both gay ?» Roger smiled.

    «I-I guess...» Alex smiled too. «Yeah, we are. I am gay, and you are gay.» He said proudly. Roger laughed and ruffled his hair.

    «Well I'm glad you now accept yourself. Go talk to him today, and I'll go see Brian. It will be a good day today !» Roger exclaimed and Alex nodded.

    «Yeah, we should go then we won't be late.» He sat up and went to his closet to dress himself, without looking at his scars on his arms. He wasn't really proud of them, but he accepted the fact they were here. When he was finished, he joined Roger in the kitchen and ate his cookies in silence. After they went to the bus stop, ready for this new day.
