It was no secret to you that Sana was incapable of sleeping while it was storming, you had spent countless of nights in her bed, holding her in hopes of calming her down enough so she could sleep, it succeeded most of the times. As her best friend you really didn't mind going to her house at 2 in the morning, its just that certain things came with it now, like hoping she wouldn't hear your heart beating out of your chest while you were cuddling, or trying not to get beet red when you accidentally touched her bare skin.
It was also no secret to your other friends that you were completely whipped for the tiny squirrel, you had been teased many times by Jeongyeon and Nayeon, while the others laughed at your red face and Sana's clueless face. Many times you tried to tell her that you were attracted to her in a romantic way, But something always had to get in between. From her showing you her new accessories to you getting sick, nothing seemed to work out.
It was 1:46 at night when it started to storm again, it woke you up almost right away as you were a very light sleeper. you waited patiently for a text or a call from her. As soon as you heard the notification from you phone you grabbed it and texted her.
Squirrel Hey, could you maybe come over? I cant sleep...
Y/N Let me guess, you cant sleep, you're bored and now I'm supposed to come and entertain or cuddle you?
Squirrel Just get over here! Now, pls.
Y/N Ill be there in like 10 minutes
As soon as you sent your text you got out of your bed, changing into some sweatpants and a hoodie, you put on some boots and opened your window. jumping out of it you speedwalked through the rain, putting your hood on and your hands in your pockets. you stopped in front of her house about five minutes later, climbing in the tree and jumping onto a branch. You eventually made your way to her window with only a tiny scratch on you face which you got from a branch flying in your face.
Only 5 seconds after you knocked on the window it opened, Sana dragged you in immediately, obviously concerned for your wellbeing. "Are you okay?" She asked, getting you a towel and a fresh pair of clothes. You just nodded and made your way to the bathroom, drying your hair and changing your clothes.
As soon as you got out she was in front of you with a piece of cotton with some alcohol on it. "What's that for, and where did you get it from? I was in the bathroom the whole time.." You mutter, following her directions and plopping on the bed.
"My parents aren't home so I can freely roam around the house at two in the morning" was all she answered as she started disinfecting your cheek, you hissed as soon as the ball of cotton touched your cheek.
"Lucky you.." you said as she out of nowhere grabbed your cheek to hold you still and sat on your lap. "Sana! What are you doing?" You asked as you quickly grabbed her waist to keep the clumsy girl from falling. "It's easier like this.." she mumbled, tongue sticking out while focusing on cleaning the tiny wound. You blushed feeling her breath against your skin and tried to play in off by looking down, only to get your head pushed back up. "Don't move stupid!". You obliged and tried to stay still as best as you could while feeling the sting of the alcohol.
After a while she jumped off of your lap and smiled her million dollar smile at you. "There! I'm done! Now lets go downstairs and make some food, I'm hungry!" She grabbed your hand and dragged you downstairs, you almost tripping a few times because of her holding your hand.
As soon as you arrived at the kitchen Sana let go of your hand, much to your disappointment, and grabbed some stuff to make cookies. Your eyes widened as soon as you saw it and tried to protest. "Sana, put that stuff back, we both cant bake for shit! And if your parents see this mess then you're fucked!" She just giggled and grabbed your hand again, making you turn red. "Let's just make the best out of it, and if it sucks then we'll just get some food from 24 hour delivery." You hesitated a tiny bit but eventually agreed.
It went fine the first few minutes, but as soon as Sana grabbed the flour you knew everything was gonna go to hell. She looked at you with a devilish smile, she grabbed a hand full of flour and before you could even react you received a wave of flour right in your face, you rubbed it out of your eyes and grabbed the flour, chasing the squirrel that was now on the run while giggling like a maniac. Eventually you dropped the flour and just chased her, making you a whole lot faster.
You tackled her on the couch and started tickling her making her giggle uncontrollably. At some point you stopped and just admired her, her round eyes and cute button nose, and her small but pouty lips. you decided that now was a good time to confess to her, you pulled her up and locked eyes with her.
"Look Sana, I know this might sound weird because we have been friends for so long.. but truthfully I'm in love with you, and I have been for at least six months now, and I understand that you dont like me back.. but i just had to tell you." You got out, looking her straight in the eye.
The thing she did next surprised you, she leaned in. You slowly leaned in and your lips met. It sounds cliche, but feeling her lips on yours made you heart pound and blood rush to your ears. The kiss soon started to get more heated as she climbed on your lap and tangled her fingers in your hair while you held her thighs. You broke the kiss, both of you breathing heavily.
"well this went way better than I expected" you got out, shocked. She giggled and pulled you up from the couch, and even though your legs felt like jello you followed her to her bedroom. She jumped into her bed and snuggled into the covers. You just stood there, still trying to wrap your head around the situation. "Well, get in weirdo!" She told you, and you certainly did right away. Wrapping your arms around her and pulling her into you. Eventually falling asleep even though the storm was still raging on.
