I ran as fast as I could, not daring to look behind me as I was chased. They kept screaming for me to stop, but I had no intentions of doing what they said. My lungs were burning, begging for me to stop and breathe. But I could not. If they caught me I would die.
I slid around the corner, slamming into the wall before running straight ahead. I saw the door of the dropship, starting to close.
"Bellamy!" I screamed out. "Bellamy!"
The drop door opened slightly to reveal the dark headed boy.
"Get in!" he hissed.
I rolled under the door and he slammed it with a shut. I could hear the guards banging on the outsides of the heavy door, but it was faint. None of the others in the ship seemed to notice. Bellamy sighed and pulled me to one of the empty chairs. I strapped myself in with shaky hands and gave him a look.
"You were going to leave without me?" I asked angrily. "After I helped you?"
"I waited as long as I could. I thought you were caught!" he told me, buckling himself in.
The dropship started shaking drastically as we hit the atmosphere and I squeezed my eyes shut feeling nauseous. I could hear people shouting and a video playing in the background along with some screaming. Then it was over.
The world stopped shaking. I opened my eyes and looked up in the dark interior of the spacecraft. It was silent.
"Listen. No machine hum," a boy behind me said to someone.
"Whoa. That's a first," another replied.
Everyone started unbuckling themselves and murmuring to one another. I was still too shaken up about the events that had just taken place to move. Beside me, Bellamy stood up and looked around at everyone. The teens were all clustered in groups, not sure what was to happen next.
"The outer door is on the lower level. Let's go!" Bellamy shouted to no one in particular and looked at me before climbing down the stairs.
I sat still as the others walked by me. My breathing started to slow and my fingers tried to undo my seatbelt.
"Need help?" I looked up to see a girl with blonde hair staring down at me. She didn't wait for me to answer and helped me unbuckle anyways.
"T-thanks," I stuttered. I pulled myself to my feet using the back of another chair before following her and a tall boy down to the first floor.
Everyone was crowding Bellamy at the front of the ship, excitedly waiting for the door to open.
"No. We can't just open the doors," the blonde girl who helped me said loudly. No one seemed to her.
I stood quietly beside her as Bellamy tried to calm everyone down. "Hey, just back it up, guys."
"Stop. The air could be toxic!" the blonde shouted and Bellamy finally heard her.
"If the air is toxic, we're all dead, anyway," Bellamy told her with a smirk. He looked at me and gave me a firm nod, most likely thanking me for helping him.
"Bellamy?" a girl's voice near me called out and a pretty brunette revealed herself as she stepped out of the crowd.
"My God, look how big you are," Bellamy said softly as the girl hugged him.
I tilted my head with a weak smile. That must be Bellamy's sister.
"What the hell? Are you wearing, a guard's uniform?" his sister questioned with a cautious tone.
