Standing in the coldness of the middle of no where, ready for court, is that the right word who knows. Ready to face trial for our 'crimes'. We started our walk, me, Sabrina, Aunt Hilda and Aunt Zelda. Walking a long in silence a few metres away from the sketchy building hidden by the fog of the night, Aunt Zelda stopped everyone.
"Remember, ladies, we carry ourselves with aplomb and dignity." Aunt Zelda said proudly she paused before carrying on with her plan. "We admit our wrongs, accept our punishment, and try to put this whole sordid mess behind us." Aunt Zelda finished still proud. "Isn's that right, Sabrina and Scarlett?" Zelda asked looking between us. I shrugged back, "Oh satan, I left my popcorn at home." I said sad now. Everyone looked at me before looking back to Zelda. "Do I have a choice?" Sabrina asked. "Nor really, no." Zelda said fast before walking of towards the ominous building.

The creepy building was even creepier on the inside, not just the building it was the people as well.
By the end of the whole thing I honestly don't remember much, lots of accusations were made but thats about it, I remember my urge for popcorn but thats about it I'll make sure for Sabrina to catch me up later, on what to do and who to hate.

"Sissy, wisssyyy." I said dragging my words as I approached her room finding her in it prepared for bed. "Need your help, shorten it down I'm too tired for long words lets just hear it, what happened in court?" I asked giving a quick fake yawn to extenuate that long words won't work.
Sabrina eye rolled which I expected and started. " we nearly had to burn for 300 odd years in a pit and abandon our mortal lives." I inhaled whistling as I did so. "Wow but dramatic, but kinda cool, what next." I asked interested.
"Daniel Webster is our lawyer, we plea not guilty. He knew out father asw-" Sabrina was cut of, by me as I had to ask "Oh my satan, was he wearing a suit?". "Umm, yeah." Sabrina asked not sure of why I asked that question. "Cool!" I said.
She rolled her eyes and carried on "our names have been signed in the book of beasts when we were 3 days old, by our father and Aunt Zelda." She said with more anger. "Wasn't expecting that one. Damn sis! I thought it messed up them being dead, but that, that puts a whole new perspective on things." I said fully interested now.
"Yeah you don't say." Sabrina said sassily which made me tilt my head and raise my eyebrows.

Me and my family were back in "court" and I was ready to pay attention seeing as it lowkey declares my fate. I sat front row seats with Sabrina as we watched our Aunts on what seemed like stage being questioned by Mr Webster.
"Spellman, both you and your sister are certified midwives." Webster asked in is lawyer tone dressed top to bottom in his black suit. "Yes." Aunties answered one after the other.
"You have delivered many babies in the witch community, including your own nieces, Sabrina and Scarlett." He stated this time receiving the same answer from my Aunties.
"Can you verify for the court, then was Sabrina and Scarlett born of mortal woman?" He asked, receiving the same answers from aunties.
"So both of your nieces are in fact half-witch and half-mortal and, therefore, only half-subject to the laws of this court!" He said raising his voice more creating chatter among the audience. "This is absurd!" Blackwood said in a bored tone. "No, sir, it is their right! I demand a jury of mortals!" Webster retorted.
"Ohhhh I smell drama." I whisper to Sabrina resting my feet up on the other half of the bench why did I think this was boring again?
The whole room burst into people murmuring. "And a change of venue! I reject the authority of this court over my client!" Webster demanded furiously. The court got louder with the shouts, and talk Webster had ordered. "Disorder in the court." Was shouted with banging ringing through the room trying to bring order to the reckless crowd.
Father Blackwood stood ready to argue the points been made. "If the wins true, dominant nature is to be determined mortal or witch, so be it." He spoke the words as if they were just easy breathes being taken. "We shall invoke human laws to test her." He said a smirk rising on his face.
"That is not what I was suggesting." Webster fought back. "One: We may subject the twins to trial by water. They will be bound and dropped into the river. If she floats, she's a witch." He has a fully grown smile on his face as the crowd applauded.
"Wait can water burn, cause thats all I've got up my sleeve?" I asked Sabrina not really sure if I'm being serious or not?
"If they drown, then they're human. And free to go!" Blackwood said smug with himself he was interrupted but the shout of Webster "Unacceptable!" His voice rang but rang no impact. "Or two: the accused will submit to being stripped and examined, in full view of the coven, for a witch mark upon her body." Should a mark be identified, this trial continues, uninterrupted. Should no mark be identified, this court will be forced to recognise their so called "humanity". Blackwood said the words looking directly at me and Sabrina scanning us, it made a shiver run down my spine.
