After the heated chat with the fam, I make my way upstairs and on the way to my room I see Ambrose and Sabrina having a chit chat. I enter the room. "Wasssssup!" I shouted with a smile across my face. "Oh my satan! why is everyone such a downer today, every one needs to lighten up!" I smile taking a seat next to Sabrina on Ambrose's make shift bed.
"What we chatting about?" I ask. "We need to fight, this isn't right we did nothing wrong and we-" Sabrina started and I finished "yeah I don't want to." I got up. "Bye!" I said getting out of the room as soon as possible. Got better things to do, people to see.
...
Although not wanting to, and laying on the floor in Ambrose's room having a tantrum for the past hour I was still being dragged to go visit, Daniel Webster.
We approached the small house, surrounded by large metal fences. "Wow, not creepy at all." I muttered to myself before Sabrina walked up the path way. "That was meant to be the part where you go 'oh your right, lets get going' but no!" I said to my sisters back she carried on walking and knocked on the door completely ignoring me.
The creaky door opened ever so lightly leaving the gap between us and the old man, just five strong metal bars, which made me feel a little more reassured. In a quiet and I could tell scared voice Sabrina asked "Are you Daniel Webster?" The man in question paused, hesitant to say "No." He paused before he carried on. "Why? What do you want?" He asked, more curious.
"Our names are Sabrina Spellman." Sabrina started more confident. I rose my head staring the man in the face. "You know the name Spellman." I told him after staring deep into his eyes watching his stern expression change. "We need a lawyer to fight the one the only, the Devil." I said gleaming slightly at the man. Sabrina nudged my shoulder making sure I wasn't getting to excited.
He invited us in. "I'd offer you a seat, but that would encourage you to stay." He said sternly walking in front. "Rude." I muttered more to myself everyone heard and only looked at me. I looked round the small home which was most definitely not homey, the windows blacked out by poorly draped curtains, books stacked to the ceiling. Alcohol radiated from the room, bottles full and empty scattered the room. The fully greyed, old man was depressing to say the least. "Mr. Webster, we're being charged with Breach of Promise. I ran from my Dark Baptism." Sabrina said sternly, handing him the letter of which describes our 'crimes'. "Technically she ran, I followed." I said, factually. "but I guess details don't matter." I rolled my eyes ready to escape this place.
"You know what that is, right? The Dark Baptism?" Sabrina asked the old man. "I'm familiar" He nodded staring at the letter. "So what? You, uh, born again? Renounced Satan?" He asked nodding between the both of us. I rolled my eyes, mortals.
"No, I I'm a half-witch." She stuttered out. A cough not quietly at all. "And so is Scarlett." She said with an eye roll. "Well thank you." I smiled towards her.
"They lied and coerced me, but we didn't sign the Book of the Beast." Sabrina said standing her ground, confidently. "And now our family are being punished." She finished. "Crazy right." I said taking a finger to the side of my head spinning it round.
"We have to be in court tonight, in a few hours, and I heard you might be able to help us." She asked more then said. "No." He said sternly not even taking into account what has just been said to him. "You want more time to think or is that your decision?" I asked sarcastically taken back a little by his response. "Sorry. I don't practice anymore." He said factually. Turning around to pick up one of the many choices of alcohol he had lying down pouring himself a glass. "Breach of Promise, thats tricky." He said. "No need to rub it in." I muttered receiving a look from my sister, I just rose my eyes at her as my response.
"Well, good luck to you." He said and I think he was being serious.
