I peaked outside the window viewing the autumn weather to determine what my outfit choice would be. After consideration I went with a simple long sleeve sweater, my favourite plaid pinafore and my Doc Martens.
Walking down the stairs with a jump in my step. "Aunties, Ambrose and Brina morning." I say joyfully. I over hear Brina whisper to Ambrose "whats up with her?" Ambrose gives me a smile and laughs back more loudly this time. "She's in love." with a slight tease in his voice. Im quick to hit him round the head. "Watch it or next your head will be coming off. That Mr Ambrose is a promise." Before Ambrose can reply a blue with hints of green liquid is placed in front of me. "Um what is this and please don't tell me its food to a drink. Anything classed as something you want in my body." I panicked looking up at Auntie. "Before it can be baptised, the temple of your body needs to be purified. Cleansed of its toxins." Zelda replied. "I already washed im all set, looking forward to the big day. You too Brina thats why you can't sleep right? Or is it jitters?" I looked at her with a smirk. As she gave me the evils.
"Don't be ridiculous" Zelda replied. "Scarlett pick a familiar." I looked at Brina knowing she would already have other plans. "Join me on summoning a familiar instead of- " I cut her off "yes ill do it." I quickly replied trying to save myself.
...
"And spirits we will wait." Sabrina calmly spoke. "Hopefully not long" I whispered to myself as Sabrina looked up at me giving me her signature "are you serious look".
"A summoning spell." I was cut of from my complaining, rudely being welcomed by Prudence, Dorcas and Agatha. "Calling forth a familiar, then are being baptised." They took turns in talking as they formed a circle around us. "If it isnt-" I started and Brina finished "Prudence, Dorcas, Agatha."
"Well, Well, Well and are we to assume that means you'll be transferring to the Academy of Unseen Arts as well?" Prudence questioned with a smirk plastered on her face. "Well isnt that off course the plan" I replied before Sabrina could say anything. "Thats unfortunate. We don't want half-breeds at the academy." Prudence spoke. "Half-breeds, who are you calling a half-breed?" I take a step closer to Prudence getting ready to stand my ground. "Isnt that what you are? Stay with your own kind." She spits back.
"You don't want what happened to your mother and father to happen to you."She spoke. "Wouldn't want something worse to happen to you now perfect Prudence. So watch it. " I bite back. "It was a tragic accident."Dorcas spoke. "Were not gonna be baited or bullied by you, not in the woods and most certainly not at the academy." Sabrina stood her ground. "Stubborn Mutts."
The three look around at each other as they start chanting. "Their cursing us." Sabrina states. I start reciting a counter curse, quickly as Prudence then stares at me, I stare back as I feel my magic grow inside me as I search her soul. My words become louder. Until silence hits and they burn. "Bitches burn in hell, good thing your nothing more then an angle. Send love from us to the academy." I grab Sabrinas hand and start our journey to school.
...
After approaching the rotting school of misery and no witchcraft, I run in front of Sabrina sparring no minute. I rush to the shower room as Sabrina makes a quick excuse. I drop my clothing to the floor and feel the semi-powerful stream of water hit my face, cascading to my feet. I start the chant, "If I truly am cursed today, let water wash the hex away." Sabrina joins in, we chant in unison. "If we truly are cursed today, let water wash the hex away."
"About our parents, what they said do you think its true? What do you think they meant?" Sabrina kept a low monotone voice ad she asked these menacing questions. The words lingered in the air, thickly creating an uncomfortable atmosphere as silence filled the cold shower room. I had to keep my thoughts to myself, I don't want to let on that I know anything because what I see is not true, she can't, I can't. The silence is broken my a whimper. We turn around in unison to see an upset Susie. I tap Sabrinas shoulder to hopefully reassure and direct her thoughts to Susie. I turn around leaving the shower room with myself fully dressed, and ready for the day.
I guide myself to the art room, the dusty old wooden chair at the back screams my name as I take the comfortable seat, next to by beloved boyfriends younger, partially less desirable brother. "Hey Lettie, didn't catch you or Brina earlier what happened?" Harvey questioned in his light curious tone. I shot him a wide-eyed look as he notched his head to the side resting on his broad shoulder. I think hard on what excuse Sabrina would of quickly made to cover they're tracks. "Poison ivy, always a nemesis!" I shot easily after realising the answer. "Fair enough, it totally is a nuis-" Before Harvey could finish I'm sure very interesting philosophy on poison ivy the teacher interrupted and started the class.
"Close your eyes students, take a breathe pick up your pencils, guide your pencil don't worry about what your drawing as this drawing is letting out how you feel. Let your wildest emotions run free on this page." The teacher soothingly repeats to the class 3 times before she snaps. "STOP! Open your eyes."
My eyes snap open, scared for my life. I stare down at my drawing scared of what it means. I keep a mental reminder to remember to ask Ambrose of what the drawing means, what this premonition could represent.
"Hand your drawing to the person next to them, ask what they see, ask how they think you feel." The teacher orders as I begin to sweat Harvey turns my way as I panic and shove the paper in my mouth and start chewing instant regret fills me as the once soft paper turns into a liquid mush in my mouth. "Are you okay Lettie?" Harvey asks in sheer shock of the situation. With my mouth full I reply "Just peachy, new diet heard its good for keeping witches away!" I think fast. Harvey lets out a chuckle but shaking his head slowly and he hands me his paper.
"I see a 4 and half year olds drawing. Add a few colour and I'll make it 4 and 3 quarters." I beam at Harvey as he snatches his paper away, just in time for the long awaited bell to finally hit.

After finally reaching home after a semi-eventful day I drop onto my comfortable double bed sinking into its fluffy duvet I feel sleep catch up with me.
