Chapter 1

In the morning, you wake up to the smell of waffles and bacon. As you start to open your eyes, all the memories of the night before came flooding back. Looking around you, you noticed you were in a room filled with band posters. “Must be a guys room”, you thought as you looked down to find yourself wearing a striped hoodie, “wait isn’t this…?” Suddenly the door slammed open, and the brunette boy from the night before walks in with two plates of food. “H-hey (y/n) I made you breakfast,” he said as he sat down next to you on the bed, “you p-p-probably don’t remember me, but we m-met a long time ago….my n-n-name’s Toby.”

You sat there staring at you until it dawned on you; the boy and man who saved you from your kidnapper were the same ones who saved you from your father! “I do remember you…..you were smaller, and not as muscular as you are now….plus I didn’t know your name back then,” I said blatantly, “Which, by the way, what is that tall guy’s name...you know the one you were with.” “I call him S-Slendy sometimes, but his n-name is Slenderman….he’s kind of like…almost like m-m-my dad, but also my e-employer,” Toby said as he handed you a plate filled with waffles and bacon. As you started to eat, you thought back to what all had happened within the last 24 hours, thinking “Toby and Slenderman could have left me for dead, but they didn’t….so why did they save me?”

After you finished your plate, you finally gathered up the courage to ask him, “Soo, Toby, thank you for saving me last night, but I have to ask….why did you do it? I mean, why save me?” He looked at me with a surprised face, then responded, “Because y-your p-pretty, and Slendy s-said to save you c-cause he w-wanted to a-ask you s-s-something.”

At that moment the door opened, and the tall pale man walked in. As you looked at Slenderman, you wondered, “How is he going to ask me anything if he has no mouth?” Then the ringing began again, comforting, yet this time a little louder, as the pale man looked straight at you.

“This is how I talked to all who live here….otherwise I can communicate through writing,” you heard in your head. “Telepathy?”  you thought as you stared up at him. You smiled a bit as he nodded, thinking it was beyond cool that a dude who had a superpower saved you. “While my telepathy may be what you call a ‘superpower’ it can be a hindrance sometimes….however, let us get to the matter at hand…..I know about your mother’s fate, and your father is non-existent anymore, as he was punished for trying to harm you, so my question to you is, would you like to live with my family and I here? You would eventually have to do jobs for me, but I would not force you to do anything you didn’t like,” Slenderman spoke, kneeling so he could watch your face better. You started to think things through in your head, thinking over how your life was, and how people had treated you, and what you could have left if you went back.

After what seemed like an eternity, you looked up to Slenderman, telling him, “If I were to go back, they would think I killed my family….I don’t want to be treated like less than dirt again, like I was so long ago...so yes, I would like to be a part of your family now.” Toby cheered and hugged you as Slenderman nodded. “Well then, I think it is time you met the rest of our family. As for where you’ll be sleeping, you will either have to bunk with Toby or with Jeff...I would advise you bunk with Toby, as Jeff likes to “welcome” people in his own special way, and while I have forbidden him from “welcoming” you, there is no telling what would happen if you did bunk with him,” Slenderman said as he lead you and Toby downstairs to the kitchen.

You all walked in to see an argument going on between a guy with bleach white skin and long black hair, and another guy with long blonde hair and red and black eyes. “Jeff, we’re having spaghetti tonight! It’s my turn to pick dinner,” the blonde yelled at the black haired boy, Jeff. “Hell no Ben! We had spaghetti last week, so I say we’re gonna have steaks,” Jeff replied harshly. “BOYS,” Slenderman yelled, “we have a new family member, and she will be choosing dinner tonight.”
