Chapter 5
You woke up to your bed bouncing and Sally going “Wake. Up. Wake. Up. Wake. Up.” in a slow chant. You smiled, getting up and hugging Sally and saying “Morning, sweetie. How’s the cutest little girl in the house doing?” “Good, but something is wrong with Big Brother Toby!” she exclaimed, a look of worried plastered onto her face. As you looked over to Toby laying in bed, you realized his sheets were all red with blood, and he was breathing shallowly. “Sally, go get Slendy and EJ! Tell them to meet me down in the med bay!” As Sally ran off, you threw the covers off Toby, and started to practically drag him down to the medical room. You barely got him to the stairs when Slenderman teleported to you, then helped you both get the the medical room. As you laid him onto the operating table, you noticed he had a knife wound in his side. Slenderman then waited with you outside, while Eyeless Jack got to work on fixing Toby up.
-A Few Hours Later-
After what seemed like an eternity, EJ finally came out of the med bay and looked at both you and Slenderman. “He’s going to be alright, but he’ll be weak for a while. He lost a lot of blood, and he’s lucky the wound wasn’t near any vital organs….He’s awake if you want to go in and see him,” EJ said looking at you with the last part.
You practically ran into the room to see Toby looking at you. He started to talk, starting to say “(y/n), I…,” before you interrupted him, hugging him as you cried and whispered, “Please don’t scare me like that again Toby!” You could practically hear him smiling a little as he hugged back, whispering back, “I won’t...I p-promise.” Slenderman came in then, checking to make sure Toby felt alright, and then he started to scold Toby for not checking for injuries on himself when he got back the night before. While Slendy was scolding him, you ran upstairs to get the both of you breakfast, and when you opened the basement door, you were surprised to find everyone else standing there looking worried. Sally looked like she was near tears as she ran up to you, asking “Is Big Brother alright, Sissy?” You nodded and hugged her, letting everyone else know that Toby was fine.
You all decided to surprise Toby then, making waffles for breakfast. As you started to cook them in the waffle iron, you felt a pair of arms wrap around you giving you a big hug. You turned to see Toby looking back at you, saying “Thank you f-f-for helping me (y/n). C-can I talk to y-you for a minute?” You nodded, handing the job of cooking the waffles to Ben, then followed Toby back up to both of yours room.
As you closed the door, Toby hugged you again. You started to smile a bit, asking him, “Toby, what’s all this all of a…” You were suddenly interrupted as he kissed you. Toby kissed you. As the shock in you died down, you started to kiss back. When Toby broke the kiss, you frowned a little, but the thing he said next surprised you even more. Toby started to blush, whispering, “(y/n), w-would you like t-to be my g-gir-girlfriend?” You blushed again and hugged him close, saying, “Yes! yes, yes, yes, yes, yes!!!!” Toby smiled at this, and then pulled a box out of his pocket. “I w-wanted to give this to you y-y-yesterday before we went out on the jo-job, but decided to wait u-until I knew how you fe-fel-felt about me,” He said as he opened it and looped something around your neck. You looked down to see a locket with a small image of a hatchet engraved on the front.
You thanked him as you gave him another hug, and he snuck a kiss on your cheek. You blushed, saying, “Thank you Toby, but can I ask you something?” “S-sure, what is it?” “Why now? I mean, you could have asked me earlier, so why wait?” you asked curiously. “Well, a-after the whole wound f-fi-fiasco we just went through, I realized how close I c-came to losing you...Jack was giving me advice on as-asking you out, and he told me not to do it l-last night since we were out on a job, but this m-m-morning he ch-changed his mind and told me to do it as so-soon as possible. I tried to ask you when you came in to ta-talk to me after EJ f-fixed me up, but you looked r-r-really worried, so I w-wanted to wait for you to calm down first.” Toby said, a blush covering his face. You smiled, chuckling at the fact that EJ was giving him dating advice when he always seemed like the lone wolf type to you.
Suddenly, someone started to bang on the door. You jumped a bit at this, then silently cursed yourself when Ben yelled, “Oi, lovebirds, breakfast is ready! Better hurry up or we’ll eat all the waffles!” It didn’t even take a half second before Toby had grabbed you, ran out the door, and sat you down in the kitchen as he served you, stating, “No one leaves me or (y/n) out on waffle time...not on my watch!”
As you all ate breakfast, Toby held your hand under the table. About halfway through your second plate, you realized Clockwork was staring at you, or more specifically, the locket around your neck. “Hey, (y/n), what’s that?” She asked as she gave you a death glare. “It’s a necklace Toby gave me...I really like it,” you said as Toby leaned over and kisses you softly on the cheek. All of a sudden, Clockwork jumped up over the table, tackles you, and held her knife at your throat. With a look of pure hatred and evil on her face, she raised her knife up to stab you as she yelled, “You little b***h!! Toby is my man, not yours, so why don’t you just go and die already!” You closed your eyes, fearing the worst was coming, when you suddenly felt her fall off you. You opened your eyes to see that Toby had knocked her off you, and was guarding you as Slenderman pinned her to the floor with his tentacles.
After Clockwork finally stopped squirming, Slenderman said, “Clockwork, that was completely uncalled for….not only did you try to attack a fellow family member, but you dared to do it in front of me…..you will have to be punished for this.” You could see the pain in her eyes as she heard those words, and as she stared at Slender with pleading eyes, he told her, “I do not wish to do this but….your punishment will be to live with Splendorman until he thinks it is safe for you to come back. I will let him know today, and you will leave tonight.”
As Slenderman let Clockwork go, she looked at Toby, crying her eyes out, then darted up the stairs. You could tell that it hurt Slendy to have to do that, but he was looking out for everyone’s best interests. “Are y-you all right, (y/n)?” Toby asked as he picked you up , hugging you close. You nodded as you hugged back, and afterward as everyone started to clean up the kitchen, you decided to go back up to your room and try to take a small nap.
