PETER GROANED, looking at the stupidly planned school schedule. Yes, the Avengers had faced another threat. Yes, they had destroyed a few buildings. And yes, they had destroyed his school, but what could Peter do about it? The county had pathetically decided to fund the least useful places, leaving the education system completely demolished with little to no funding.
Places such as the abandoned building on 63rd Street or that one warehouse where too many druggies band up to get high. Sometimes, Peter wished that the system wasn't so corrupt and money-run. Shaking his head, he set down the newsletter. He was a senior. A senior. It was his last year. Surely, one thing could at least go right.
He checked the time. It was hours until Aunt May got home and he'd have to tell her the dumb news. Midtown High School currently did not have enough funding to transfer their students to a different building and teach them there, let alone, online classes. Midtown High School would open a month late.
Midtown High School would push back all their breaks.
As much as Peter enjoyed learning, there was only so much bullshit he could hear from his classmates until he too, needed a break. His spring break, which used to be set in late March, was now pushed to be in an unhappy April. Sure, the distance was the same, but the stupidity of it all was unbearable.
Not only that, but Tony was now in trouble with the Accords again, and Peter didn't feel like pestering him for some money at the moment. Cracking his back by bending his shoulder blades inwards, he sighed and looked at himself in the mirror. School hadn't even started and his eye bags had already become prominent.
Looking at the clock again, he sighed and rubbed his eyes tiredly.
He'd have to make breakfast before he could mope some more.
