As i finished my homework and laid down on my bed to relax, the memories of the past started crossing my mind like cold wind that didn't cross me from a while ago. I was incapable of stopping these scenes from appearing in my head.

I looked up to remember my dear parents. Although they were poor, they made my life heaven. Their love and compassion towards me was irreplaceable, money never crossed my mind for a second when i was with them. My parents always treated me like a rare diamond that shines every time they make it laugh.

My dad, Estephan, was a young dad, he used to work day and night to get us the money to live. However, my mother Derry didn't go to work due to the belief of my father that she should stay with me to raise me correctly to become a great person like he was. I remember my mum's voice as she read me a bed time story and kissed me goodnight when i pretended to fall asleep. Then in the morning, my father waking me up to school with his smooth hands that never thought about hurting me.

I used to love to go to school, everyone there was modest and no one cared about money.

My 2 only bestfriends that turned my childhood ino a life of fantasy . The only thing that came to my mind back then was happines was joyy wasss .. No words that cant really I get a smile on my face automatically when we used to sleep over, me and Ellie and Darren and we woke up to water the plants outside, and go inside to watch cartoons and drink Samantha's mother delicious hot chocolate that used to warm our bodies.

I open the photo album i always carry with me from under my bed, and admire the picture with my friends at class and i flip over to see the picture of me and Ellie and Stephan i tear up a little bit as i reached the picture with my father and mother right before the day they died. I started crying so hard when my grandma came over and told ms they didn't make it, in the nicest way possible so that i could take it easy. I still remember every detail of her face when she struggled to tell me the truth. Maybe i was small, but my heart was as big as the ocean, that became a sea after my parents took the biggest half.

After i heard the news i used to cry every single day as my grandma told me that they are watching me and talking with me from above. She made me believe that they are in a better place now. I started to forget the matter with time due to the love and care my Grandma was giving me. She was my mom and dad, she got money from her dead husband from the army.

Until the time when my granny had a heart attack suddenly when she was buying groceries from the grocery stores. I was at school at that time, then i was informed that my granny will be taken care of and at the time being i can't be left alone because i was too young. Mr. John offered to adopt me. The orphanage accepted Mr John's "very kind offer" because of his great financial power and more than perfect ways of life with their family. When I got there, i was awed by the mammoth size of the villa.

Lila walked me to the parts of the villa, i saw the pool that i only saw in tv shows, the barbecues that i thought they only existed in movies. Moreover, i was even more surprised by the size of my room, it was even bigger than the whole house i used to live in. Lila took me to the elevator, i was so scared from entering a small room made up of metal that escalades you from one floor to the other. I went up to the living room to find my "sister" that i will live with opening her arms exited to welcome me in. I was shy at first, but she was very sweet that she made me forget all the fucked up life i lived and just live the life of a typical 5 year-old. When John and Claire, arrived home, Lila warned me to stay calm and have great respect for both. After several months, when the responsible staff made sure that i was living right and getting everything I want, they stopped visiting me when i turned 10 years old. At this time my heaven turned into hell."
