I decided I should show you guys what my characters look like cause I suck at describing. Also, this is my first time writing a gender fluid/transgender person so if anything isn't true or is insulting please let me know right away! (p.s. I will try not to spoil the book but if someone does pick a gender how would I describe their transition?) I found all these pictures of the internet.*
First up my personal favorite Alex: The top one is her when she is female and the bottom one is him when he is male. Since he is a guard and only the guards keep their hair short his hair is very short. (yes he also has the random curly hair change direction :} )

I can't find a picture of Nimue as a mermaid but he would look like this is human(yes I am a Percy Jackson fan and am fully aware this is Poseidon but no Avyanna's father is not Poseidon.)
